Said he is enrolled in classes and has practiced. He has not signed any deal with the tigers yet for rev sharing or NIL. Tigers are not forced by current court order yo roster or play.

Interesting....

Really curious to see if we elect to not roster them.

I'm in the minority here, but if we're not compelled by the courts to roster them, I don't think we should.
We have a good roster and this shite with the SEC isn't worth it. They better drop their lawsuit though if we go that path.

Only if every other school that has a player that tried out for a pro team is forced to drop them as well

Help set up for the players to cash in by suing the SEC for damages.

I don't want us to roster them. I will say until I am blue in the face this entire mess is stupid. While also acknowledging that the NCAA created this mess and the line that the SEC drew about mini camp and training camp is stupid. But I didn't want players added this late in the game.

They could roster them then take them off the roster if the federal judge tells them no.

Then why go through the process of getting them enrolled and practing then?

To see how this process played out. Our conference is now suing us and the rest of the programs want to vote us out of the league

If Wright truly darkens a classroom that would be impressive in and of itself.

I think this is a lot of posturing and each side forcing the other's hand.
My prediction is we don't roster them and force the SEC into a damage suit when we either get sued and/or they do

This may be the long play.
As long as the SEC lawsuit is in play, the athletes might be able to argue it violates the order from the Louisiana judge, and therefor causes damages?
Would be brilliant to see those players now file suit in Federal court in Louisiana for the damages the SEC has caused them....Name each member of the SEC who voted for the penalties and force discovery to figure out who came up with the plot to sue LSU?
Not a lawyer, so there may be intricacies I'm not aware of, but I've seen dumber things in courts of law.

Perhaps in the minority, but not as much as you may think. I don't think LSU should roster them at this time. I am hoping that by later this season, either the court rulings or a settlement could result in their being able to sign, consistent with the five years to play five that other classes just enjoy, but not 2022.
These players could definitely help the Tigers down the road.
I think LSU should continue to vigorously support the efforts to be able to sign players in this position, not just in football, but basketball and other sports as well.

This kid is going to get screwed and won't be playing at lsu imo.
Hopefully he can go to Louisville and get a nice nil deal.

I’d be in favor of not rostering them if Texas doesn’t roster Cole Hutson.

100% agree. Risk not worth the reward. We already have the best TE in football and we have pass rushers. We don't need the players, the headache, the scrutiny, etc.
Let them go to the newly formed Pac 12.
Boise State,
Colorado State
Cal State Fresno
Gonzaga
Oregon State
San Diego State
Texas State
Utah State
Washington State
I'm sure one of them will pay them cash and need them.
