Sometimes doing the right thing isn't the popular thing. I don't know if it's right or not, but my perspective is that these players were getting screwed out of an opportunity to return, and Sankey saying, (paraphrasing)"they left, so shouldn't be able to come back" is disengenuous because it was the NCAA vis-a-vis the SEC, that shut the door behind them while opening it up for others. Just basic fairness, especially in-light of the million$ being earned by players in the NIL, should account for something and it seems like the only school admitting and promulgating that message while other schools are being quiet and adding players that also went to NFL mini camps is LSU. It's very difficult to square this hole

I feel like I've got a basic grasp on what is going down but I don't understand why LSU would or could be required to roster anyone by a TRO. The injection basically says they are eligible, right? I've got 5 years of eligibility left. Is LSU required to roster me?
And this is my issue with Sankeys asinine statement about these players taking spots away from other, less talented players. This is LSU. They aren't handing out schollies just to field a team. The best business model in any industry is to give positions to the most qualified and talented. Someone is always going to be left out.

What makes this worse is Harris gets paid 0 despite never being able to even go to a single NFL practice but the Texas lineman who attended MULTIPLE mini-camps is allowed to play for Texas at 6 figures when he took more compensation than Harris did to go to the mini-camps. It's easy to see how messed up that is and unfair. Also easy to see why courts keep overturning it. But mah corrupt judicial system. Your governing bodies don't know how to define anything what do you expect?

I'm in the minority here, but if we're not compelled by the courts to roster them, I don't think we should. We have a good roster and this shite with the SEC isn't worth it. They better drop their lawsuit though if we go that path.

Im all for sticking a finger in the “mans” face, but I don’t see what LSU is gaining here. We’re talking about 2 players that don’t make or break the season. Before this mess, no one was saying we needed 2 more guys like this.

- LSU was a last minute add as a party to the injunction (rather than being a party from the beginning),
- The NCAA and SEC was shown as a powerless clown show,
- Sankey was shown as an incompetent and lazy Commissioner,
- LSU would still comply with the lawless NCAA and SEC rulings
Yeah, maybe LSU received some bad PR, but if they don’t roster those players AFTER they were added as a party to the injunction, the National Media would be shown as complete frauds for making LSU the bad guy and being disingenuous to the public.
Sure, LSU could be held in contempt and sued by the players, and maybe everyone will point and laugh. But it completely reveals their hypocrisy. Sankey will never survive the day that happens for putting one of the conferences members in that legal predicament. That win makes it all worth it.
