1) Burrow comes out publicly and states he is fine with any LSU player wearing number 9. It would endear him to the fans and school as a whole and be the complete opposite of the behavior of JD and his camp.

and/or

2) Pickett wins the Heisman this year wearing #5.

I said Pickett/LSU should talk with Joey B today and let DJ wear #9 this year.

Solves everything and shuts momma up.

Give some backup #5 next week.

Burrow is not going to weigh in. There's no reason for him to get involved.

I highly doubt he would say anything.

It’s likely Joe gets asked this question as stupid of a question as it is. I hope he answers correctly.

Well, seeing as the usual subjects are starting to claim this is back by racism, you can rest assured he's going to be asked and put in an awful position.

That would be perfection.

First time Pickett gets burnt by a receiver the fans are going to throw him under the bus and hop back on Daniels's side. Picket should have never asked for the number in the first place after Daniels left. Cry for the number 7 if he wants a new number.

I don’t have the talent to do it, but someone should photoshop a LSU team photo with everyone wearing number 5.

Why? Does Daniels have some sacred right to a fricking number? What? Is it like the arc of the covenant where if you wear the number you’ll fricking die?

Piss off

LSU should be the adult in the room and not let either have their way. Bless your heart.

Honoring a promise to a current player is being the adult in the room.

Exactly. There is no reason for him to interject himself. He should stay as far away from this as possible. Side step any questions related to it, just avoid the whole situation completely.

Hopefully all of this will be forgotten and both sides move on. I'm just ready for the Clemson game to get here. GEAUX TIGERS
