1988 Miami game. Deluge so hard in the first half you literally couldn't see the field.
Only game I've ever gone down under the bleachers because of the weather. Of course I was only 13, but to this day, it's the only time I haven't sat through rain, cold or brutal sun.
We sat all the way up on the top row of U9 in the south end zone and I told my dad "I'm going down, I can't see the field anyway". He came down about 15 minutes later too. Probably just because I did, because I know he was hammered and didn't care about the rain.

Tulane 1983 (?). Absolute downpour and we lost.
Lots of standing water on the field.

Was at Oregon St in 04, Tenn 05, App St 08, and Troy 08.
Tenn and Troy were the most miserable.
Was a freshman in 04 and Oregon St was my first game in Tiger Stadium

1988 Miami -was different times back then where the game must go on. Today it would of been delayed or canceled similar to McNeese game a few seasons ago.
I was there and I agree, there is no way that game would be played now days. I been in the heat & the cold, that game made the Fresno State game seem like a light shower.
In the south endzone, they used to have flags of the other 9 SEC schools around the top of the stadium. I can't remember which school's flag, but the wind blew one off the flag pole.

I was a student and my parents came in for the Miami game. Mom is still traumatized from being up in the top deck. Finally the old man agreed to call it a day

Ole Miss ‘93. Temp was in the low 40’s and it was raining. Miserable.

Steve Walsh lit up the LSU Secondary.
Who was there besides myself? (I've seen more LSU games than probably 99% of this board, maybe 100%)
I was there. It was insane.
I stayed the whole *** night, including the 4th quarter when the rain stopped and the temperature dropped 30 degrees. It's amazing I didn't catch pneumonia.
That game was bad for so many reasons. A win got us the Sugar Bowl, but we got our asses kicked so bad that the committee picked Auburn even though we beat them in the Earthquake Game that year. Then Syracuse kicked our arse in the bowl game.
That game was literally the beginning of the end.

My new hottest game is now 2017 Saturday afternoon, hottest game on record in October in Tiger Stadium. In the sun the whole game, glad we won though.
Coldest, 1997 lost to notre dame, snowed most of the 2nd half would have been beautiful but we lost
Wettest in the 2000's, delayed an hour for pouring rain against ULM, My 3 daughter and myself were soaked the whole game left late 4th qtr, victory.

1988 Miami game, no question. Under current NCAA rules, the game would have been delayed, if even played.

I realize it’s an opinion question but anyone who doesn’t say 1988 Miami either wasn’t alive at the time or has never heard about it.
One could state the same case for the Alabama 1979 game. They are certainly very close cousins, no question about that.

'88 Miami (Jimmy's hair never moved) , '91 Florida State in 2nd half, '97 Notre Dame (Cold as fuk), Alabama '02 (Cold as fuk).

Miami was similar to the storm we had in Knoxville this year for the lsu game.

I was there, and it wasn't that cold. It just seemed cold because the Tigers stunk up the field that evening
