I was there. It was miserable. So was the game itself.

1988 Miami. They brought their live “mascot” with them! Miserable weather and game.

1988 Miami -was different times back then where the game must go on. Today it would of been delayed or canceled similar to McNeese game a few seasons ago.

There was a funk in the stadium that day. Everyone soaking wet then sweaty as hell. My car stunk for days

Miami 1988. Missed some plays because couldn't see the field. Wind blowing so hard the flag poles on end of stadium were breaking. Then early 2ond half lighting got worse with one bolt striking near the stadium. No lightening delays in those days.

Saw one of the best fights in the student section at that game. Dude had on a Ron Powlus jersey in student section. Guy next to me is already hammered before kickoff. As the game goes on he’s getting pissed looking at the guy a few rows down in the jersey. He takes a stadium cup full of ice, Coke ( and presumably bourbon) and chucks it at the dude. Hits him in shoulder and it also gets on dudes date. The guy turns around to say “come on man” and before I knew it the guy next to me leaps and crowd surfs down and is on top of the dude in seconds wailing on him. Was crazy.

The miss st 96 game was a JP 11:30 game. Rain poured the entire halftime. Remember sitting in upper south and could not see the north end zone cause the rain was coming down so hard. Then immediately stopped when 3rd qtr began and sun came out

I lived out of state at the time and made a special trip in for the Miami game in 1988. Nuts

Wow, small world. I was a row or two ahead of the ND fan and got splashed. I was not pleased.

Every Tamu home game from 86-94 was a night game except for 1992. That was THE hottest game on record in tiger Stadium

This one was bad. When cars used to park along W Lakeshore in the grass starting the night before, some did and that canal flooded all up on them.

Also ND 97 (I'm not looking it up). Freezing, sleety. My dumb arse was shirtless and painted. Team didn't do jack, but returned the favor in what I think was the Rondell Mealey bowl.

I remember Fresno State in 2006. Weather was horrible and the game was delayed by almost an hour but it was fun when it got started and Trindon Holliday was stellar.

The two worst weather games in Tiger Stadium that I attended was Miami 88 first and foremost. Ugh.

The other that rarely gets mentioned but was just 100% brutal was Bama 1979. Cold and rained all game. Cholly Mac's last shot at the Bear. Bama fumbled about 20 times in that game it was so miserable. LSU never got close to scoring, fricking 3-0 loss. You could bring umbrellas into the stadium in those days. All those did was create waterfalls from the umbrellas pouring over you like a shower outdoors in Alaska. Since I was a pup I might put this one over Miami. I was atleast drunk during the Hurricane

95 degrees in the shade at kickoff. The Tigers somehow hung with the Aggies for 3 quarters, even though the Ags would finish 11-0 that year and LSU had their worst season ever.

The amazing thing about the Miami game was that every time we had the ball it rained like hell, but didn’t when they had the ball.
Weird game and I hate to say it, but a lot closer than the score indicated. We were SEC Champions that year and pretty darn good.
