1985 (I think) vs. UK rained the whole time... we won 10-0. They had like 21 punts in the game.... just awful.....

Games that I attended.

Coldest was 2002 Alabama (Lost 31-0)
Hottest was 2005 Tennessee (Blew a 21-0 halftime lead and lost in OT to Ricky fricking Clausen)
The monsoon right before Oregon State in 2004 sucked. (Won thanks to three missed Oregon State extra points)

November 24, 1950 ... LSU 13, Villanova 7 Attendance: 10,000 ... Night Game in Tiger Stadium.
It was so cold, the ticket takers stopped taking tickets and ran to their cars in the parking lot to keep warm. The program sellers used the game programs to build fires. Halftime show was cancelled.
Michigan-Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio on the same day was called the
Snow Bowl.

1979 Alabama
1988 Miami

79 was a flood all game, 88 Miami game seemed like every time Miami got the ball the rain stopped and the wind dropped, then LSU would get the ball the rain picked up and the wind blow stronger.

79 Alabama has to be the worst rain seen in Tiger stadium in years on end.

Not sure why this is 7 pages. The Miami game is the only answer.

The actual hottest game in Tiger Stadium was 1992 Texas A&M season opener.

THIS

Caught this day game in early September sitting near the top row, NE corner. After drinking a couple of big Cokes, we saved the cups and filled them with water from the bathroom sink. We would just pour the water over ourselves during the game to try and keep cool. Went back to bathroom and refilled several times.

LSU Fresno has to be pretty high. LSU Oregon State has to be high, too. It rains all the time now.

I'll go with the Monday night game against Tennessee, I believe it was Miles first game in Tiger Stadium. Hot af that night, air was so thick you almost had to force feed it to your nostrils!
Agreed on the temp.

However, I'd put the '04 Oregon State game as the nastiest of all time. Raining sideways - through the scoreboard. Or maybe it was because of the unexpected entertainment during the rain delay.

who remembers the deluge that delayed the Fresno St game in 2006?

Our clothes were soaked and we had an early flight out in the morning-no time to dry them, couldn't pack them, so we tossed them in the dumpster at our hotel.

The two worst weather games in Tiger Stadium that I attended was Miami 88 first and foremost. Ugh. The other that rarely gets mentioned but was just 100% brutal was Bama 1979. Cold and rained all game. Cholly Mac's last shot at the Bear. Bama fumbled about 20 times in that game it was so miserable. LSU never got close to scoring, fricking 3-0 loss. You could bring umbrellas into the stadium in those days. All those did was create waterfalls from the umbrellas pouring over you like a shower outdoors in Alaska. Since I was a pup I might put this one over Miami. I was atleast drunk during the Hurricane

I went to both of those games. The '79 game, we sat in the lower bowl about the 40 just under the edge of the overhang. Before the 1Q ended, we thought we were going to drown from the downpour. I "think" it was televised but maybe not - but we left before the end.

The '88 Game, we tailgated in the old 4W lot dead in front of the stadium about 3 rows out. The electricity was unlike anything I had ever seen prior to the game. Sat in the Old Upper Deck and when the flagpole snapped and lightning started popping we were gone, plus we got the shite beat out of us. You literally could not see the field from up there.

Honorable Mentions:

2015 McNeese, weather wasn't that bad but the game got cancelled so it had to mean something.

1982 FL State - Upper Deck listening to the game (a victory) chunking oranges on the field.

Yeah that, "it never rains in Tiger Stadium" is pure BS.

I can remember being at two of the ones mentioned here.

1979- We came to tiger stadium and it had been raining but the wind whipped up before the game and was gusting to about 35 mph and would blow sideways and just soak your face. I want to say we had 6 turnovers or something. The game wasn't televised and folks in Alabama couldn't get the radio feed due to the weather. They dropped us in the polls after the game and Bryant was like, dam, did nobody see the weather. It not being on tv people just saw the score and didn't know it was played in a tropical storm.

2002- Oh my goodness. So fricking cold. Funny thing was, it was clear as a bell with brilliant sunshine. We stopped at the old coffee bean on coursey on the way to the stadium and I asked john for the biggest, hottest drink he had. We got to the stadium about 3 and found an rv with an open pit fire and a tv to watch Georgia beat auburn. We got back to hotel off acadian and I literally sat my feet on the heater to get the felling back

We won 4 of the first 5 then lost 5 straight. However we’ve owned that arse since.

88 Miami! You could have been in a submarine and not stay dry. It was the remnants of a hurricane I believe and the rain was sideways! Ponchos were useless.

Not even close. Norte Dame 1997 Game 1. Cold and rainy and I just sat there and took it. Similarly, LSU just stood out on the field and took it.
