best work hours i ever had was Sundays-Wednesdays 2pm-midnight

off every morning and all day Thursdays-Saturdays every week was amazing

this was pre-kids, though, so YMMV

worked 4-10s with Friday one week and monday the following week off and it was also very good but it required Tuesday - Friday one week and Monday - Thursday the following week....but gave you a 4 day weekend every other week.

This is the best (my current) schedule.

I work 4 10s off every Friday, it is great having an extra day to do what I want to do.

I’ve worked 4-10s for so long I would probably just quit or retire if they tried to take that schedule from me.

yeah 4 10s would be great. I work 9hrs m-t and 4 on Friday. Getting off at 11am is nice but, not having to work at all on Friday would be better.

I work 28 days on and 28 days off and live at my job 24/7 when working.

I have never had a clock punching job in my adult life. Every scenario described so far sounds miserable. I like to come home and have an entire month of no phone calls, emails, etc. I spend all day everyday with my wife and kids since we homeschool. It does suck being gone a month at a time but I think I would go postal if I had to work hourly 52 weeks a year.

if your kids are not into activities or are younger etc.....4-10s and go play golf or fish every day

if kids are into things...much better being home early every day imo

a good balance is the 9-80 schedule where you work 9 hours mon-thurs, 8 hours on 1 friday, off the next friday.

a 630-4 schedule works well for many as it allows them to see kids in the morning and be there not long after they get home from school.

Seems the overwhelming answer is 4-10’s.

Thanks gang!

4-10s, taking off Mondays instead of Fridays. Did this for a few years. Fridays were easy and people would hold off major changes until Mondays. Was awesome.
