Apparently it matters if you're the home or away team. SC coach on SEC Network after their W yesterday said they had to be up at 6AM because they were the home team.

BP and in/out times are different for home and away.

I didn't realize there are people out there that aren't? I've lived in a bubble my whole life I guess.

I can only speak to a football schedule. I'd imagine 6:00 AM at the absolute latest.

Waking up at 6 AM for an early morning baseball game is precisely what travel ball teaches 6 to 12 year old young prospects.

If I had any big thing to do in my life (presentation, interview, etc.) at 9 AM I'd be up by 5.

I need time to drink my coffee, move around, check emails, eat something, digest, poop, shower, get dressed.

I suppose an hour or two would suffice, but 3-4 hours is the sweet spot to be at your best for a big day.

Seems dumb that the higher seed gets to be home team, especially when the lower seed hasn’t played yet.

I would assume that from a nutrition perspective, eating breakfast at the correct time would be important. I've always found that 3-4 hours is the minimum before a game for a full breakfast. 2 hours for a light meal such as protein bars or a shake. I assume it has to do with your body switching into digestion mode after eating shifting blood flow and using energy for digestion.

Followed up by an energy drink and heavily diluted liquid iv about 30 minutes before game time.

So 5:30 wake up. 6:00 report time.

Each team is able to take BP in Hoover when there is often only 30 mins between games?
