I still can't believe that Florida loss during the hurricane debacle wasn't enough to remove Coach O from getting the full time job

Dude that checks cashed already.

If he can lead this team to victories over Alabama and Oklahoma, that would be a clear statement: he's an SEC-caliber head coach. Considering all the roster gaps and off-field distractions, simply fielding a competitive squad would be impressive. At that point, he'd have checked every major box—strong recruiter, culturally aligned, and a proven winner. Unless there's another box I'm overlooking, he absolutely deserves serious consideration for the head coaching role.

I don't know a lot about this life. I don't know a lot about the world.

What I do know is - If Frank Wilson fails, it will be because he just couldn't do it. Not because he didn't commit 100%. Not because he got outworked. Not because he didn't care. Not because he didn't try.

At the end of the day, that carries a lot of weight with me.

Anyone seriously advocating for Wilson to be the permanent coach is a fricking retard. I dont care if he runs the table

If he wins.... Why not give him a short term deal to see if it is sustainable? Say he goes 4-1 including the bowl game, offering him something like 3/8 (he makes 1.2m now) wouldn't be a bad idea.

We will go 2-2 and there will be no controversy.

Better question? Why was he selected to be interim?

Because he’s well respected at the football facility and has head coaching experience. Next question.

And don’t think for one moment Ryan Clark won’t be running his mouth about this.

Absolutely, it happened with O, Coonasses were coming out of the wordwork demanding he be hired.

Yes, I know he won a title, but we all so the crash and burn right after.

I’m with you on this. If he wins out…what exactly would we be chasing after?

We can’t just keep hiring coaches at the top market rate hoping it works out.

I definitely see this move as an attempt at some level of continuity. And to actually try and win a few games. I think the offense will have a huge spark next time on the field.

LSU is never going to worry about what RC and his lacky Matt Moscona think. And they are not going to make decisions based upon either of those folks nor should they.

You could be onto something. Too many downvotes but facts. Evidently the downvoters dont know the RC race baiters and how they operate.

However if he wins out, a new hc would be crazy not to retain him and possible CR.

Frank was The Perfect choice for interim coach. He will bridge the gap better than anyone else on the staff.

Anyone who thinks that he will be named permanent coach is delusional.

No not a bad idea, but a horrible idea. He couldn’t run UTSA or McNeese successfully

Remind me again what Orgeron record was at Ole Miss. I'm not parroting for him to get the job, but to eliminate him on what you said is just dumb.

Frank Wilson will not be the head coach at LSU. That is all.
