This will be one of those questions that I guess will ultimately remain unanswered.
I 100% agree. Based on performance there wouldn't be any reason, dont care, he should be gone now. No excuses.

You could make a case for SW to remain on but they parted way regardless ofnthe positives, however Davis was retained for whatever? I don't buy it all all. Whats fair is fair. Like I said in my op, he will eventually be gone but in all fairness he should have been gone the same day Sloan got canned regarless of the postives. SW had 6 titles under his watch and he gone but we worried about Davis because he can recruit? He is a terrible oline coach. Last year he under achieved with NFL players not to mention the Oline tackle at Tenner(transfered to Tenner) who was player of the week last week. Why did he leave if Davis is such a "great" recruiter. Smdh. Facts.

You must have enough staff to finish the season. You can replace coordinators. The position coaches are your grunts and recruiters.

Max Browne does a good job of breaking down the shitshow that has been taking place all year.

through indirect means of someone telling him to keep him, yes. Jmo though.

I can tell you this for a fact. As clear as I can put it. There is a clear conflict of interest when it comes to communication between "coach and athletic director's office" that should not be a bridge that can have a cause to alter decision making. Thats as clear as I can put it.

I get everything your saying and agree but there is absolutely NO excuse what so ever that he should still be on staff. None.

I do not disagree, but I guess it makes little difference now. I'm convinced he will not be on the staff next season,

There is concern that current football players may seek to enter the transfer portal. While Brad Davis is a poor oline coach, he does have a solid relationship with several of the black players. Thus, hopefully, he keeps his guys committed to LSU at least until a new staff is hired. With the oline’s performance this year, I expect Davis will be looking for a job unless the new coach believes his recruiting outweighs his poor coaching.

We still have games to play. You can't fire all the coaches during the season.

" That line is soft as baby shite"

Maybe, but they are in very questionable splits. Davis isn't a good coach. Neither is Frank Wilson, he isn't even average. And with NIL, we don't need any coaches that are good at recruiting only.

The answer is because he’s fired at the end of the year anyway.

The other guy that can coach OL is now the temp OC.

It’s just a way to get to the end of the season.

Nah bro…. Ain’t no schematic reason for them to look softer than charmin.

Last year they were very talented and still soft, AF.

The receivers aren't being coached worth a damn in defensive recognition. It's obvious the O Line isn't coached worth a damn, and it's criminal some of the stupid shite they haven't been able to pull off.

It's terrible, lazy arse coaching. Hankton should be shite canned, and Davis should've went with Kelly and Sloan.

I really do think that Woodward was covering for that guy. Brad Davis is from BR so they probably have a tight relationship. He's a good recruiter, but offense has never been able to runblock worth shite since he got here.

You cant fire every single offensive coach. Once the season is over, he will be let go along with a few more.

Now the question of Brad Davis. Of the 3 fired, he had by far the worst performance of the season above the 3 that were fired. The offensive line play was by far, the poorest of the above. This season may be the worst we've all seen as far as oline execution in decades.

This is not the first time I’ve seen this argument, and I have no idea what y’all expect.

We have to finish the season, you can’t fire all position coaches and do that. This isn’t the time for everyones evaluation. Ultimately Kelly was fired when he was because he didn’t seem to have any solutions or changes he was willing to make, firing Davis could have been one, but it wasn’t.

Besides all that, Sloane didn’t have any solutions to help make up for his bad line play. I don’t think you can say Davis was the worst coach with how bad of play selection (which could help the line, you know like handing the ball to RBs, which the game was built on).

Heard left because he didn’t want to wait to play. Nothing more, nothing less

If Davis is gone, who coaches the line? We have a month of the season left with a signing period shortly thereafter. Why not let him finish the season, and do what he’s unquestionably been the best on the staff and recruit the guys he’s currently got committed to ultimately sign.

And when we actually run the ball this year, aren’t we averaging like 5yds a carry?!?! I get it, Davis pissed in some of you guys’ Cheerios, but OLine was low hanging fruit to ridicule. We can say DLine, QB play, heck LB, TE etc. all the sub groups outside of CBs and S haven’t looked stellar at all this year.
