do they have extra seats. I can give up my greyhound seats and save some money if they do.

NIL…”hey fellas…want more money in your bank account, or a plane to college station?”

Back in your day... you're probably not over 40.

If it’s the same bus I saw them in when playing Auburn, it’s pretty dang nice.

Even Gainesville is sometimes a bus trip.
Glad you posted this
here I was sitting in my easy chair wondering why they would object to a 3 hr trip on a nice bus - then I saw this about Gainesville.
I suddenly realized that I am not actually AT LSU - I am sitting on my arse in Pearland TX a suburb of Houston.
Advice to you young'uns = don't get old.

Tenn took their bus to BR

We had to sign a card with our donation saying we knew the money was not going to pay for baseball operation expenses but was going to be dedicated to NIL funding for baseball.
In fact, for those who paid their membership dues by check had to make the check out to "Bayou Traditions - Baseball" rather than to "TAF-Baseball" like in previous years. (From the CC web page: "Proceeds from this club go directly to support the team through Bayou Traditions and their NIL needs.")
I mention that because in previous years part of the CC money was used to pay for up to 3 flights a season not paid for by university policy on air travel. (Something to do with a certain number of hours driving time.)

Only the 2 major sports have/deserve the luxury of consistent air travel, not the sports that HEMMORHAGE cash.
Of course title IX and bullshite political pressure probably provides the lesbian basketball team with some airplane trips they don't deserve.

I’m not talking about me driving. I should have been more specific. I’m talking about a huge bus, probably multiple buses

I would more surprised if they flew anywhere but Omaha.
And they bussed it to Omaha the first time we made it in 1986.

Tennessee flew to Baton Rouge, they also had their bus drive down so they could get around in their own bus.

Probably 5.5 hours from BR to college Station. Obviously the timing passing through Houston could change that timeline.

WARNING
I10 will be closed in both directions a mile south of the I10/US69 north interchange from Friday night to Monday morning.
This will be a huge clusterfark getting through. If you can exit north on US69, you can go to SH105 & go west all the way to Navasota, then take SH6 north to BCS.
Or exit at SH62/73 (Bridge City) and turn left. Go 5 miles and turn right at SH87/73. Take SH73 all the way to I10 in Winnie. Drawback is the construction at the Rainbow Bridge... wouldn't advise driving an RV through there right now.

link? I thought we had one of the few programs in the country that actually turned a profit in baseball
The problem with baseball is that LSU doesn’t report media rights revenue, conference distributions, or contributions (if I remember correctly) on a per-sport basis in their annual financial statements. If you go by the LSU financial statements, football only generates like $3 million a year in net revenue while every other sport on campus loses money. Meanwhile you have $62 million in net revenue that’s classified as “administrative,” which offsets all the losses.
The Louisiana Legislative Auditor reports are the only ones that actually split up the big non-ticket revenue sources by individual sports. We know from those reports that MBB is profitable and football generates way more than $3 million in net revenue. However, those reports lump baseball in with “all other sports” or something along those lines; only football, MBB, and WBB are actually broken out.
The end result is that nobody (in the general public) really knows whether LSU baseball operates in the red or black.

You can avoid all of that by taking 99 from just past Dayton. 99 all the way to 249 then pick up highway six after a short jog on 105 W. That’s the shortest route.

Think they will spring for the tolls?
