which is what we'd need to compete in the SECCG. (7-1 MIGHT not get us there if Bama or Ole Miss is 8-0!)

I will admit you guys have a lot of advantages. Your offense is dynamic. I don’t think anyone can deny that.
Your defense is suspect. I’d reckon that if there’s an SEC team on our schedule that we can find a passing game against, it’ll be Tennessee. Anthony Richardson looked like a football God against you guys and we all know what kind of passer he is.
Saturday should be fun.

Come on man! 85 yards of passing against one of the worse teams we will face in the SEC and you talking about competing for a championship?

Realistically, we aren't.

If we win out the regular season, obviously we would be in the conversation.

Realism kicks in here, a Bama loss is likely. At least 1 loss to one of the away games (Fla, A&M, Arky) is also likely. Ole miss will probably be difficult but at least it is a home game.

The next real test is this weekend, so lets wait until after that before we discuss our championship run.

I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude. Hopefully Saturday will impress me more than what I have seen so far...

Yes he is a RB playing QB. I heard somewhere that won’t win in the SEC……..

Against who? Southern? New Mexico? A bad Auburn team? Miss. St. is the only game they played so far that turned heads. Auburn was so bad it was laughable, and LSU still needed a 3 TD comeback. That doesn't inspire confidence for a 2022 championship.

This LSU team is not ready to make a championship run. The offense is still awful. Coach Kelly and company are making minimal progress offensively. I'll give LSU credit for beating MSU, but Auburn is a bad SEC team. The other 5 teams you mentioned are all better than LSU right now, especially Alabama and Ole Miss. Florida is still 50/50, but if the same LSU team from Saturday shows up here the Gators will chew them up and spit them out.

We haven’t had any big wins yet and just struggled to beat the worst Auburn team of the past 30 years. Our next several opponents will all be ranked well ahead of us for valid reason and losses will be predicted.

He’s only here to try and mask his legit concerns that his team isn’t as good or respected as he truly wants them to be.

I agree our defense is championship level. I believe we will beat Tennessee as well. I also think we beat Bama this year call me crazy but I think we can. But at the same time we will lose to florida on the road at night. We will lose to Arkansas on the road and texas a&m on the road unfortunately. We are a 8-4 team.

If the 1 point loss to FSU, near miss to Auburn arent context clues this isnt a championship team to you, not sure what else to say.

No, this team is nowhere near championship level. We dont have the QB play to be there, our offense hasn't had championship output or close to it. We are still patching things done by the previous regime. This is still a rebuild process, again, if you didnt notice based on how we've played so far.

We are less than a year removed from playing less than 40 scholarship players in a bowl game. What on earth makes you think this team can win a title this year?

We have the defense for a good run at it. We have the WR's. The OL is a work in progress but has talent. JD brings a running game by himself and Emory is starting to look like he might break out soon. All we need is JD or Nuss to start clicking with these WR's.

Because LSU is not a dominant nor a championship team this year. Pretty simple.

We are still in the race to win the west. Already beat 2 western opponents.

And if you lose to the vols you are still in it if you win out.

Maybe not a NC team, but top 10 finish could happen if we get some kind of passing game going. Could easily finish 2nd in sec west and 3rd in SEC overall. Besides Georgia and Bama, no reason not to finish better than teams like Ole Miss, Kentucky, Texas AM, Arkansas etc.
