Back to back seasons in week two both seasons seems unnecessary. I get it we have to fill the schedule but come on. Why?

Tech made a bowl game last year and they played a competitive game last season. I have no issues with playing them.

Honestly - LA Tech, McNeese, ULL, Southeastern, etc. They all blend together. I’d have to look up which one we played last year or play this year.

The only edge in those games is avoiding the targeting flag in the 2nd half.

We already play clemson, you have to fill the rest of your OOC schedule with duds. Would you rather we play Grambling instead?

What better way to show off the new offense than a direct comparison from last year? Plus the money stays instate instead of going to a similar school elsewhere in the Sun Belt. LSU scored a touchdown with 12 seconds left in the first quarter, a field goal in the second, a touchdown with 1:58 left in the third, and field goals at 11:14 and 1:55 in the fourth. Tech's defense has been top tier for several seasons now.

So when it's 42-0 at the half this year, pretty good barometer on the differences with Lane.

You clearly have rewatched the game and remember it vividly.

Tech was 68th in total defense in 25 but they were 12th in 24.

So you’re right that Tech’s d was good but it wasn’t good in 25.

Tech is in state and they agree to play in Tiger Stadium for a reasonable price. Works for me. Glad to have them.

Conference defensive player of the year, former LSU player, was lost for the season during the 5th game. Defense fell off a cliff once he was out. He played against LSU. He had 39 tackles in 4 games basically as he was hurt early game 5. He's back this year, so hopefully the defense returns to what it was previously with him.

Or a hyphenated directional FCS school from halfway across the country?

I don’t see anything wrong with playing Tech. They are a respectable team.

I know it gets a little repetitive playing teams from around the state… but this is who we should be playing… not Southern, Nicholls, and the like (Saying that as a person who actually likes Nicholls).

I would like to see us play a La. School each season, but only schools st our level. No FBS schools.

Tulane, Tech, Southwestern, and Louisiana-Monroe. A rotating deal would be fine where we’d play them all every four seasons.

OP would rather play florida A&M. i mean they travel so well and would bring more fans and interest than la tech.

Sounds like 24 LSU once we were down 1 starter on the OL. The entire season was over. Wild how one player can derail the entire season.

Up 10-0 at A&M then he goes down and the season is over.

I say just rotate Tulane UL and La Tech.

ULM has been on life support for far too long from LSU and every other SEC program. They don’t seem to care enough about athletics to deserve the pay day.

Solid in state non conference opponent that will be a win but make you have to work for it.
