Why are people scared to play Bama again?

LSU was the better team. The game really shouldn’t have been as close as it was. Take away the punt return and the flukey play over Stingley in the first half and we are REALLY blowing them out. LSU can beat that team again. Ohio st and Clemson worry me more than having to play Bama again.

Rematch games are what most of us know to be games that mostly work to the disadvantage of the first game winner.

I personally am more annoyed that its a possibility again.

Just feels like beating them at their place should mean more than it does. If chaos happens and they get in sure w/e thats fine. But if everything stays the same and they just get in over other 1 loss teams, thats a sham.

I want the program to miss the playoffs completely because I want them to start trending down. I want all teams to start going with the negative recruiting on nick as he's getting old and losing his edge. he's been too good for too long. I want him gone asap. blocking them out of the cfp is a great second step.

I actually believe auburn wins the iron bowl and takes care of the issue.

Not scared but would rather play someone else. You don't play a team a second time unless you have to and Bama has a lot of talent. Would much rather play Oregon or OU.

I, for one, hope Baylor and Minnesota both win out. Playoff would be LSU, Clemson, Baylor, and Minnesota.

I know it’s not happening but a man can dream.

2 long TD’s on busted coverage and a punt return for a TD.

vs

Joe Burrow’s stellar performance

...I would play Bama again. They have MANY more adjustments to make than we do

No one is scared. It's the lack of equity bc we know if the situation is reversed, LSU is on the outside looking in.

I'm not at all. I would be ecstatic to play them again. Clemson and Ohio State are both better teams than Alabama. Plus, our offense, defense, and special teams are better than they are.

It's not about being scared to play them. It's about wanting them out of the playoffs regardless of if we're in it or not. Anything that hurts Alabama helps LSU.

Because of history and how much it would just sting and hurt and suck to have it repeated.

Also, it's not about being scared. I don't think Bama deserves it whatsoever.

I don't want to sit here and go weeks having to worry about Bama again.

Having to play them off a bye is already bad enough.

Has nothing to do with being scared. I believe we are better than them after yesterday, but why give them an opportunity to get in and win another natty? Keep their arse out because they play a soft schedule and have no quality wins. You can't just put them in every year because they are bama

Bama had their playoff game yesterday and lost. It is not fair to other teams, they deserve a chance. It is supposed to be NC not regional.

I agree with this if the question is whether we should “fear” Bama in the playoffs. I think we would win again. Sure, they are tougher than Oregon, but I don’t think our players fear them. Additionally, we’ve now seen their few tricks. Given another shot, I don’t think they score 31 points. I think we still get into the 40s because “they can’t fvckin’ stop us.”

That said, from the standpoint of whether on-field performance should determine your fate or if the eye test should grant brand-name teams a pass simply because they have a lot of 5-stars, I fall solidly on this side of leaving Bama out.

Games have to matter. I would much rather play the PAC or Big 12 winner than retread a reg season matchup.

Bama is a young team that will be much improved the second time we play them. Redemption games are never good for the first game winner.

Just like in 2011... we beat them at their place. That should be the end of it.

They seem to back in a lot.
