The Honey Badger is a once in a lifetime player. Should have been LSU's 2nd Heisman Trophy winner. shite, they should probably sculpt Mathieu here on out for the trophy. If that wasn't a Heisman season, I don't know what to tell you. The epitome of the honor. RGIII should have gave it up the moment he was announced. You'll never see another Mathieu.

Tyrann Mathieu. I will never watch a defensive player as good as he was at the collegiate level. He will forever be my favorite defensive player in LSU history.

Mathieu’s highlight tape is up there with Tavon Austin’s as the goat

Both were unbelievably awesome!

Honey Badger had amazing instinct and it felt like whenever the team needed a lift he could get it done.
Daniels was putting the team on his back with Nabers and BTJ every single game. If there was any semblance of a defense in 2023 everyone would pick JD5 easily but because you couldn’t celebrate offensive scores knowing the defense would get ran through, it lessened the impact of his biggest plays.

That’s just wrong. If a play went away from Mathieu he’d make himself involved, cause a fumble, then somehow recover it.

The only people I've seen play in a defensive backfield as electric as Honey Badger is Ed Reed and Deion Sanders. That's it. It's hard to go against a Heisman winning quarterback, but it's far more rare to see players like those on the defensive side of the ball.

There was nobody like Mathieu.

Mathieu absolutely owned Tavon Austin’s WVU teams twice.

Honey badger takes what he wants!

TM, no one did or has done what he did in 2011.

Mathieu best player iv ever seen, he literally changed the outcome of games from positions that are not supposed to dictate outcomes

Honey Badger, the ball gravitated into his hands!

Jayden was awesome but I've never seen anyone before or since Mathieu play like he did.
It seemed like he was everywhere.
Even before he got the number 7. When he was wearing 14. It was just instinctual. "See ball, take ball."

I am biased, but in my 45 years of watching college football, Mathieu was the most dynamic defensive player I have ever seen. He is also the most instinctual player I have ever seen across all of football.
His ability to be around ball so often was so elite, it resembled a scripted Hollywood movie.

Daniels. He we turn on video game mode and was unstoppable.

Mathew because we were winning.
I wish I wouldve appreciated daniels more. It was tough to see the good when our defense was so trash.

We could live 1000 years and still not get to see a defensive player get their hands on the ball as much as Mathieu.
Dude was legit a defensive super hero.
