Legit answer. Had no business being an OC at this level. He was a Dinardo yes man. Dinardo thought he could turn things around all by himself.
I could listen to this argument. IMHO it's the same as the Les conundrum. A head coach that decided it was his offense and the OC was interchangeable or irrelevant.
But IMHO what really did Dinardo in was Baldwin and Kelly hated his guts for not promoting Baldwin to DC, and he kept them on staff while they did all they could to undermine him. And that's all on Dinardo.

Anyone who coached under Les. What a train wreck offense.

That Auburn game...
And he threw Jamie Howard under the bus after the game, even though a run should have been called on every down in the fourth quarter, maybe the entire second half.

Quit defending Pootz, he was abysmal.

The end of the Miles/Cameron era was really bad.

‘08 wasn’t great either, but I think they had more studs on defense.

Fact is, if you look back to the 2018 or 2019 LSU Media guide, Miles pretty much owned the LSU Offensive record book with 3 and 4 of his teams placing top 5 all time rushing, passing and scoring. Amazingly the D tRant always discusses, had little representation in record book.
It’s almost like college football changed dramatically to allow for more offense and less defense in the early 2000’s

Gary crowton won a natty his first year as OC lol...not sure where the hate came or comes from.
Final 2 seasons:
09: Scoring- 73rd, Rushing- 90th, Passing- 97th, Total- 112nd, 3rd down- 71st
10: Scoring- 45th, Rushing- 27th, Passing- 107th, Total- 86th, 3rd down- 72nd

I think ‘14 was the least talented team of all Les Miles tenure. ‘08 wasn’t great either, but I think they had more studs on defense.
‘08 was tough because our J.Lee was thrown to the wolves and clearly not ready. R.perriloux’s fault, but thats neither here nor there.

The one thing I liked about les Was at least he had some Balls. Fake fgs etc But yeah the rest was horrible

To think there were many that wanted him to be the HC.

Crowton and JJ took the fall for this but this is on Les, not them.

This is correct and had Perrilloux not been dismissed, the '08 offense would've been the gold std until '19.

That was the first guy to come to my mind, but I couldn't think of his name. He was a HORRIBLE OC.

Peetz and Daronte were both not horrible. That year was all down to O and his terrible recruiting
That team either tied or broke the record of draft picks in a single year. Even if they weren’t all first round picks, you had double digit pros…
Peetz couldn’t get a call to the field and basically forgot that running the football was a legal play. He was not ready to be an OC, and probably would’ve benefited from having someone like Ensminger in the booth with him.
Jones was a different case because he was essentially forced to run a 4-3 even when it clearly didn’t work. It took Kiffen telling O that the 4-3 is the easiest defense to call against for him to allow Jones to switch things up. It’s been said that Jones relied heavily on Baker to turn things around.

This cheer was quite popular in the SEZ back then:
"'round the right
'round the left
up the middle
punt!"
Do y'all remember Ed Zaunbrecher? He was Mike Archer's OC and his offenses were as dull as a butter knife.

Gary Crowton got a lot of hate but it was unfair. It was an impossible situation having to play Lee/Jefferson as freshmen. He was very creative with the bubble screens but once 2008 happend something changed. I think he was handcuffed by Les. But to answer the question I would say Cam Cameron

Didn’t Canada and O hate each other? I wonder if things would have been different in Ed let him coach

because fan bases of his previous teams warned us that exact thing would happen.
They said his offensive production would fall off not that he’d start running power toss out of an i-form 739 times a game.
