Curly. Not even close. We’re talking football here. Forget going to a crappy bowl. Try losing seasons.

In football.

Year after year.

Tiger Stadium half empty.

Trent Johnson certainly isn't the worst statistically, but he deserves mention.

Awful coach.

Hallman was bad but he did beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa McMahon hasn't done anything so it's McMahon easily.

How can you not it's MM HE HAS had the men's in the bottom 3 of the sec. 3 out of 4 years he's the worst and it's not even a little close!

Curley wakes up every morning and thanks God that Scott Woodward fired Will Wade and hired Matt McMahon!

Smoke Laval

Smoke’s teams underperformed, for sure, but they were still consistently competing in Super Regionals. I would hardly consider a men’s basketball coach who’s teams consistently finished in the sweet 16 to be among the “worst”.

Any answer other than Hudson "Curley" Hallman is ill-informed.

No winning seasons. No bowl games. And worst of all, he was an Aggie.

Those pre-Maravich basketball coaches had to deal with playing in the Cow Palace and the school having virtually zero interest in basketball.
Smoke Laval deserves scorn, but it's not like he ran the program into near-oblivion like Hallman did to football.

The basketball coach before wade (can’t even remember his name lol) was really terrible. Not sure I’d say McMan is worse than him. About the same I’d say. Just horrible, wet blanket losers.

Curly Hallman and it's not even close. Ex players have some amazing stories.

Do tell

I've heard it said that within Curley's first week on the job, Dean realized he had messed up so bad that he was looking to the assistants to run the team.
