When asked about facing Lane’s offense in spring practice :
Last year our offense would line up and I knew okay this guy is running this route, this guy is doing this, and now they’re running different routes out the same formation confusing the defense.
Crazy how simple an upgrade that is and embarrassing how much our staff sucked. Explains why any ranter could predict our plays.
So refreshing to hear we’ll see a competent staff and competitive team.

So simple a child could coach it. At least one that's not retarded and stubborn.

Imagine that! Employing the element of artful subterfuge in American gridiron football. What will they think of next?
I seriously feel like Sloan used to do things that made zero sense in order to confuse defenses. "Watch this, we're gonna run the ball into numbers. 3 on 1 count. They will never see that coming... shite."

Sloan should've never been OC especially after BU decommitted. Kelly got what he paid for.

Did you catch the shot Flynn took at BK for his short practices?
Whit said something about looking forward to getting back out there with the pads on, and Flynn told him don't expect an hour-long practice during week 2 of camp.

Sloan was a historical horrible hire. Fine as QB coach but he has no business being a P4 OC, let alone at LSU. It was a lazy promotion to keep Underwood and we still didn’t get him.

Great interview. Kind of sounded like Matt and Jake were taking slight shots at Sloan lol.

Bro. Most of us probably played high school football 15+ years ago and we as fans could look at a formation and know what was happening.
Sloan was a retard.

Kelly letting Denbrock walk is one of the more "What is he thinking?" moments of the Brian Kelly tenure.

I'm glad Sloan is gone and Kiffin is here as much as anyone. With that said, the offense was severely handicapped with an injured QB and a shite OL. That's why they ran WR screens so much.

By the play call before the snap. Do you think all players are giving 100% effort knowing that the play is doomed before even lining up?

Don’t think he could’ve kept him, it happens.
The real crime was promoting Sloan.

There were a lot of hires under Brian Kelly that had no business being coaches at a place like LSU.
Joe Sloan at OC
Brad Davis at OL coach
Robert steeples at cb coach
Matt house at DC
Cortez hankton at wr coach

Last year's offense was pretty predictable, it basically was the spread version of the Les Miles days of "we just believe every player we have is better than yours" which doesnt work out great a lot of times, especially when they know whats coming

Brad Davis- Was hired by Orgeron. This board celebrated the hire when it was made because he was a Baton Rouge Guy... and was happy when he was retained by BK.
Steeples- The same board was happy when BK let Raymond walk and hired Steeples. Many convinced themselves that Raymond wasnt good anymore.
Hankton- Developed two 1st Round WRs. You cant take that away from him. Lacy was likely a 2nd-3rd pick before the legal issues. Cant blame Hankton for the shitty job Sloan did with playcalling. It was often mentioned that the WR rotation had a lot to do with the NIL investments. There was very little rotation in 2023 and 2024.

This is similar to Lane Kiffin telling O that the vaunted “4-3” defense was basically tying both hands behind their back.

Do you understand how difficult it is to block someone when they know what the play is. No wonder our line sucked as bad as they did.

Who is the guy that defended Sloan?

The OL sucked run play blocking the year before with a first and third round draft pick in part for the same reasons.

Sloan ran a tecmo bowl offense behind a swiss cheese OL
