Where do you legitimately see this baseball team ending up?

Looking back, I hate that we dropped the A&M and Auburn Series. We had a good chance at both of those. I really think this team has the talent to make it to Omaha, I just don’t know if we can stop ourselves from messing that up. What are y’all’s thoughts?

They aren’t making Omaha. Maybe Supers depending on draw.

Fix fielding to be at least average, we go to Omaha.

Fielding stays the same, we lose in Regionals to lesser opponents due to costly errors.

Pitching is there to win a 3 game if we play D. Money is gonna get hit, that’s just the arm he is rn, but typically I feel as if our defense plays the worst when he’s on the bump.

If I had to put money on it, I'd say we end up hosting a regional, advance to the Supers, then lose on the road there.

Baylor
Both Losses to ATM
G1 vs. Auburn
G1 & G3 to Ark
LTU G2

All easily could have been Ws, if we could field as well as a high school team.

Most important thing we can do is secure a home regional. Hunt touched on it yesterday, but we can make it much easier on ourselves if we face the #4 to open the regional.

We don’t have the pitching to come out of the loser’s bracket in a regional.

Home super would be lagniappe. But even away, we have the pitching and offense to take 2 of 3 on the road.

A super regional only if they host regional.

I’ll pump some sunshine today, I say we catch fire after the clutch GA win and go 7-2 over the next 9. Might as well be positive.

Similar thoughts. Average fielding, they should be able to make it to 2nd weekend of Omaha. Stays the same, I think they still push a game 3 in Supers

I disagree with this. But I'd rather not see it tested.

I maintain though that I would hate to be a team coming out of the loser's bracket trying to beat LSU though.

We can get into a super if we get hot, but hard for me to see this team beating top 10 teams with what we dont have:
a solid #1 stud pitcher
a balanced offense to move runners over when needing a run
a defense that can be solid for several games in a row

If we cut our errors in half we are a top 10 team

I agree. I think, assuming we host, we would eventually win the regional with our bats on sunday/monday.

The supers are kind of a crapshoot depending on matchup. Really wanna avoid tennessee. If we go on the road in the supers, we probably get beat there by whomever we are matched with. Whether its arkansas, tennessee, oregon st. Those are just better teams than us. If we were able to be matched up with a southern miss, notre dame, or tcu type, i think we could win that.

But even if we get through that, i think we ultimately fall in omaha because the defensive miscues and manufacturing of runs becomes a bit magnified.
