I think you meant to ask “when did our fan base become a bunch of overly emotional women”.

Or do we just support complaining…
Modern America. Wake up and go to bed complaining. Its a culture of complaint.
7 out of 10 idiots here running with pitchforks dont give two shits about basketball.
The other 3 out of 10 went to a private high school and "played" basketball against similarly, small. slow, unathletic white boys like themselves.

- 3 top 50 players
- 3 final fours
- double digit conference titles
The only teams ahead of us in conference are Kentucky Arky and Florida they have national titles.
We are clearly historically better than UGA, ole miss, miss state, usce, vandy. We are better than Tenn, Auburn and bama. Though they are all better than us the last three years.

I became invested when I was born. LSU across the board. Basketball is as the first lsu sporting event I went to ( that I remember) 1989 ole miss at the tad pad.

Not sure you are even relevant until you win a championship. Yall act like lsu basketball is ucla

Pretty sure a while ago the PMAC was known as the deaf dome. That means it had support due to success at some level. Between then and now something has changed and support as dwindled. It's kinda obvious if you aren't being obtuse. The support is definitely here but there needs to be a reason. There's no reason currently.

So a majority of the condense is relevant it’s been a back water basketball conference until now. LSU isn’t a normal cellar dweller like an ole miss or state but mcsuck has us being one.
No one said this was ucla, but finish last then missing the tourny and barely getting a nit bid to follow that with second to last and one of only two teams not in the tourny should be fired

Do you consider the cowboys good at football as well?
The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable pro sports franchise in the world. Aside from confusing the current team with the program you are using the dumbest possible standard,
especially in this context, of win it all or you suck. Dallas had losing record last year when their QB was hurt but were 12-5 and in the playoffs 3 years in a row before that, LSU basketball never won a NC in the 80s but were good we made the tournament pretty much every year. Just making the tournament say 7 out of 10 years isn’t unreasonable or impossible when you get there you can quibble with advancing further. The Cowboys underachieve relative to their status but it’s not from lack of trying to compete. It’s still 100% a false choice to “pick” either baseball or basketball at LSU.

Baseball is a much more recent arrival to the conference elites than basketball, though with far greater success. You must be a new arrival on the scene. Either that or experienced a terrible accident with horrific memory loss.

Outside of Kentucky, Arkansas and Florida we have a better basketball background than anyone else.

Brother, that Vanderbilt home game was unlike anything I have seen at LSU. 10k+ chanting "F Joe Alleva" and "we want Wade". Yea they cared lmao.
Side note y'all remember when the board got that one guy to set up a protest and he was the only one to show up

Ok when did I say it did.
I said LSU being in the basement and missing the tourny 3 years in a row should get you terminated.
There is no reason our program has to be dog shite. It’s been good in the past and can be again with a good coach.

I appreciate the idea that LSU is a baseball school now, but as a student in the early 1980s, I never once was even remotely tempted to attend an LSU baseball game. In 1984, LSU's first full-time baseball coach (shows how insignificant it was before), Jack Lamabe, found out he would no longer be the head coach when he saw a want ad for the position in the paper that had been placed by AD Bob Broadhead.
That's how unimportant baseball was... until Skip showed up. And even then, I didn't care or attend in my .last & his first two years that he was there.
Just as Skip made us a baseball school, Dale Brown, (in the wake of Pistol Pete) for all his flaws & waste of talent, made LSU a basketball school, and John Brady & WW showed that it could still be relevant even in the last 20 years. When you have names like Bob Petit, Pistol Pete, Shaq & Chris Jackson on the list of your former players, and 6 final fours, it's hard to call LSU a lower-tier SEC team, which is why our current status brings out so much passion from those of us old enough to remember better days.

If you said the Cowboys have always been bad then yeah that would be a dumb statement.

So do we really support basketball now?
You’re a Chalmette fan like me… just like we don’t care about basketball so much and care about football and baseball more, that describes a lot of LSU fans.
Look at the general sentiment of the MSB “NBA is no longer relevant” “basketball is dying”. We make (college) baseball seem a lot more relevant than it really is. We have a season long thread on high school baseball but not for high school basketball.

I think they are acting like LSU basketball can be better than now when the proper and easy decisions are made by the executives because it has been done before by prior LSU executives.

I thought we measured success with championships around here. Seems to be the standard with Football and Baseball.
Now we’re saying winning records and losing in the tournament in rounds 1-2 is a good thing? Yikes. Such a low standard.
Cool that the cowboys are the most valuable, but haven’t contended for a Super Bowl in a very very long time.
When has lsu basketball won a natty? Or have consistently been in the final 4?
LSU is a football/baseball school.
Basketball is since the start of the century and will always be a 3rd rate program compared to those two, which is why it’s hilarious watching you idiots lose your minds over the same results or worse over the past 25 years

Baseball and Football have been the premier athletic programs at LSU.
Basketball was good a LONGGGGGG time ago. It has been mediocre to horrendous for 25-30 years, with a few anomalies sprinkled in.
Expecting a turnaround or any sort of contending for championships soon is just unrealistic and wishful thinking, when a sample size that large proves that fact.
