Is that normal? Sat in different seats than usual, South lower, and noticed sand flying up in multiple spots when guys were running on it/ball landed. Just curious not trying to complain.

Field looked like trash. Players losing their footing, sliding.

Normal as of when? I don't remember ever seeing that much sand.

the field has looked rough all season.

Sand is a pretty normal filler for Grass, but this thing hasn’t been played on in 2 weeks and we’ve had good weathe… it shouldn’t be that much sand coming through.

I don't know the reason for the condition of it, but I will say I was not impressed with the turf quality and not all turf grass people are created equal.

If you visit the Home and Garden board often enough you’d know what it’s for.

I’m glad I’m not the only who thinks this. I wasn’t going to say anything in the euphoria, but it looks like shite. It’s not the first time. It’s a constant situation and has been for years. Go back and watch the 2007 Florida game. Same thing.

Places like A&M, Auburn, Mississippi St often have really nice fields. LSU’s is a sandbox.

There is no “dirt” in Tiger Stadium. It’s a special Bermuda grass that grows on sand. A foot of rain can fall and there will be no standing water

Look up the Chad Jones hit on YouTube and watch how much sand flies up.

It’s maybe more than it used to be for drainage and mud mitigation, but it’s always been sand based.

They could've recently aerated and top dressed the field with sand. It's very common this type of year, especially before overseeding with a cool weather grass.

Does anybody factually know if the AD ever hired anybody from that July 22nd advertisement?

If a College Football Field looks bad and wont hold up AT THIS LEVEL,
it's 99.9% due to personnel issues. (The Turf Manager is incompetent and hires incompetent people as assistants)

Seems like LSU has had TURF ISSUES ever since Eric Fasbender left. (And why did he leave in the first place? )

Shite, just go steal the Head Guy from Mississippi State, double his salary and be done with it...........

By the job description it appears that the 1st black, trans, handicapped woman who applied is a DEI shoe-in.
