What’s the threshold for a successful 2019 season for Orgeron?

11 regular season wins would be amazing and quiet a lot of critics. It should slow down the hot seat speculation too.

10 regular season wins, although 1 win away from 11, seems very very far from 11 wins, IMO. It’s a senior lead team with a senior QB and you’re only improving by 1 win from 2018.

Anything less than 10 wins will be a complete disaster. Its year 3 for Orgeron and I think we can all agree that LSU has better odds to accomplish an SEC title in 2019 than they do in 2020.

I guess

The way I put it, 10.5 wins is the threshold

10-2 is realistic. Bama is a loss and we will lose to someone else (A&M or Florida).

While Orgeron is in his 3rd full year, he’s responsible in total for the roster based on his spot on the staff with Miles and his interim year as well.

We will likely see near apex Orgeron this year, for better or worse.

Hard to get optimistic with what we have seen from Eddie O thus far. 9-3 regular season is realistic.

2 loss maximum for me would equal borderline success. 3 losses is a failed season. 4 losses I want him gone. HAVE to get a streak of double digit win seasons going.

Looking at the the schedule, there are 6 games you should never ever lose with what we have (Ga Southern, NW State, Vandy, Utah State, Ole Miss, Arkansas). There are 5 games that could get close but we still should win (Texas, UF, Miss St, Auburn, A&M). And then there's Bama who we should lose to based on talent and coaching levels. So, 6 easy wins, 5 tough wins, and one loss should be the expectation. I'm willing to give him one more loss to one of those 5 because going 4-1 against those teams is still pretty good I think. 11-2 would keep the recruits we have and would have this board buzzing going into 2020 I think, so I'd consider that to be success.

Successful? How about winning the West the SEC or getting into the playoffs. Orgeron does not get special treatment and that’s the goal around here. Idk why fans have lowered standards for him but we have a new AD so he’d better get it together.

NY6 Bowl Win. 10-3. Reason.
Uncertainty on the OL.

Expectations are the same for me for every season. 10-2 is a good year IF we win the bowl game. 9-3 is average and 8-4 is unacceptable.

The question was “what’s considered successful” the Cheerios are trying to turn that into something else like always. Will Orgeron be fired if he goes 9-3 and finishes 3rd in the West? I don’t think so but that’s also not a successful season. The pumpers can’t tell the difference between these things.

This team is theoretically stacked. 10-2 should be the absolute floor, 11-1 should be expected but 12-0 isn't out of the question.
