Anything short of 11 wins is a failure. 10 wins probably buys him some more time. 9 wins and his seat is on fire going into 2020. Anything less than 9 wins and he’s canned.

Critics have derangement syndrome and will never accept anything. O is not on the hot seat so nothing to slow down there.

11 regular season wins would be amazing and quiet a lot of critics

I'm not so sure. I mean, yes, it shows improvement, but,
quote:

It’s a senior lead team with a senior QB

and you can do no better than 11 win's. Well, it depends on when the losses come. Anything short of A) Beat alabama and lose 2 games total on the season. Or B) Lose to bama but make the CFP, and lose there and have 2 losses on the season. Another 10 and 3 season will not help, and with a senior team it may actually hurt in a lot of minds. So the threshold is nothing less than 2 loss season, total. Now, lest say LSU loses 2 games in the reg season, make the CFP and lose first game. Maybe then. But if they lose to bama again in the reg season, it won't appear like they are getting anywhere. It can't even be a close loss. LSU has had close losses in the last 7 years, it has to be a win. Beating bama and losing 3 games total may be ok. I mean at least they have some evidence that they are getting closer to the elite. Just 3 losses total is still 3 losses and won't look much better after a 3 loss season.

12-0 - gains a 5 year extension and a big one
11-1 - Hot seat is all but dead and gives him some rope
10-2 - A lot of it depends on how he gets there but the fan base will be someone split. Especially if he loses to Bama big
9-3 - People won’t be satisfied. Les all over etc.
8-4 - He enters 2020 on a hot seat
7-5 - He May get fired.

That’s not the threshold. It’s a good start but beating a Big 12 team won’t mean shite if he loses to Bama, Florida and A&M.

Nah. 9-3 is the hot seat. I don't see 3 acceptable losses on the schedule.

4 losses he'd have to be gone

5 losses is practically impossible. That'll have him left on the tarmac midseason like his buddy Kiffin.

I'd gladly take 10-2 as long as 2 of those wins are Bama and the figs in CS.

The negatiger's goal is to get rid of or destroy the team of any coach who doesn't let the board run LSU !

9-3

Same as last year.
Losses to Texas,Florida,and Alabama.

NY6 Bowl Win. 10-3.
I wouldn't call that a successful season. We did 9-3 regular season last year, with Georgia on the schedule, with road games at Auburn, Florida, and A&M.

We have a more favorable schedule in conference, we have Burrow coming back at QB.
We should improve on that record.

Now, the Texas game is big. We should win it on paper, but it's a home game for Texas against a ranked opponent (us), something that could be emotionally charged for them. And if we lose that game, things might go sideways... but that isn't successful.

Les Miles was fired after averaging ten wins a season for his entire tenure at LSU. He was 8-4 in bowls with a Natty and multiple SEC titles.

Orgeron needs to win at least ten and be competitive against Alabama to keep his job. Anything under ten and another blowout loss to the Gumps and he's gone.

Relax, Baws. It's going to be good one way or the other. I guarantee that Woodward has a plan.
