I’ll go first—
“Pump the brakes..”
“Pump the brakes..”

The 350 bit is so cringe. Who started that?

For me it’s anything discussing will Wade, positive or negative really.

“So and so will need protection in the lineup”
“Imagine how good we’ll be when so and so gets going” (as if ignoring that other players will slump at that time)
“This team lacks timely hitting”
“He just has it”
“Faggies”
“Gayturds”

"It'll never be ready in time" or "Les Miles has lost control of."
When I see those phrases used, I immediately discount both the poster's intelligence and creativity.
It also amazes me that so, so many posters apparently can't discern when to use "freshman" as opposed to "freshmen" or "lineman" instead of "linemen." It’s incredulous how often posters get them wrong.

I actually think “pump the brakes” is often used appropriately.
Lots of knee jerk reactions, especially towards baseball teams early in the season.
“This team won’t make it to a regional with this bullpen”
“This is a top 3 LSU team all time”
Pump the brakes and let the season age.

“And it’s not even close”
Adding “at best” to the end of their description of how average bad a team/player is.

Also, this is the time of year people dust off their baseball lingo and bring it out to show it off. Truthfully, each sport has its goofy slang, but baseball, along with baseball nicknames (Smithy, Brownsie, Jonesie), is the silliest.
I actually remember seeing a guy post in a game thread, "lay off the hammer and sit dead red." I felt so sorry for him
