It’s way closer here than you think now. NCAA Hoops all over the world dwarf college baseball. From a local viewers standpoint more will watch tomorrow than have ever watched CWS game. Fact

Dude, please. March Madness does not make a gazillion dollars because basketball sucks.

Been way more popular in this household for years. No knock on baseball, but college hoops is infinitely more enjoyable.

College basketball is far more popular than college baseball,
99% of the country could give a shite about college baseball.

From a local standpoint?

No chance.

I think there are simply more baseball fans than basketball fans in south LA right now.

Also basketball sucks, so there's that

Short cajuns enjoy a sport they can excel at, and are too simple to appreciate things of national importance.

I have enjoyed some LSU basketball games this year.

I am passionate about LSU baseball.

Funny thing is, I was the exact opposite in high school 35 years ago

I enjoy LSU basketball but I love LSU baseball. Any day at the Box is a great day.

Winning Championships

Think about it, if LSU baseball makes the equivalent of the sweet 16, fans want the coach fired.

Well Wade and LSU basketball have won a more recent championship than baseball and to even being to try to compare the difficulty of the basketball and baseball tournaments and parity particularly relative to what Wade vs Mainieri inherited is asinine

LSU basketball (while at times frustrating) is simply the more entertaining product at this point in time.

If you mean the middle of March madness as the “‘more entertaining product”, I submit a super regional.

But as an equal, LSU basketball needs to prove they belong. Until then, a random Saturday night in death Valley or a weekend SEC series will always draw more attention than a mid week game vs Alabama.

LSU basketball always disappoints

I speak for many tall cajuns when I say that we also don't like basketball as much as baseball.

I am a longtime season ticket holder in the big 3 LSU men's sports. I enjoy all three.

I believe there are many more LSUMBB fans over the past 30 years, than there are LSU Baseball fans. But, there is a small cadre of LSU baseball fanatics (3K to 4K) who are much more committed to travel, etc, than any group of LSU MBB fans.
