Old man! I was also a fresh and that was my first game. Didn’t realize it was such a big deal until it got so loud before the game I couldn’t study in my Hatcher dorm room. Decided I might as well go to the game. That’s when I became a Tiger fan.

That was the night after Hurricane Ike layed waste to much of Houston and East Texas with 100 mph winds and torrential rains

77 or 78 I believe. LSU vs Wyoming. Wanna say someone kicked a FG late to win.

September 26, 1959. #1LSU beat #9 TCU 10-0. Sat in south endzone with my dad. I was 8 years old. Remember it well. LSU had a couple of goal line stands on the one yard line.

1986, LSU vs Ole Miss. David Browndyke misses field goal and Tigers lose. I was devastated.

83,000 in a 78,000 seat capacity stadium. A fire marshal's nightmare. Great game, however

Coach Charlie Mac era mid 60’s…I think it was Tulane. I was 9 years old. Got to stadium from St Martin Parish via hwy 190. Made the obligatory stop at Desi’s then across the old Miss River bridge with only inches to spare from going over the railing into the River.

1977 we hosted that really good Kentucky team that wound up going on probation. They kicked our butts but the majestic aura of Tiger Stadium rocked my 8 year old world. I was hooked.

A lot of shitty ones in the early 90s. I do have good memories throwing the football on campus but I think I just blocked out the games themselves. The first time I remember was ‘93 I think when we beat Bama earlier in the year and were trying to be bowl eligible at 5-5-1 in the final home game against Arkansas and got smoked. It’s amazing they ever recovered from those dark times.

1971 LSU vs Texas A&M, a blowout and will never forget the chant after the game.
"GO TO HELL OLE MISS GO TO HELL"

at that time did not understand the chant.

Remember vividly pregame eating Kentucky Fried Chicken in the parking lot just West of the stadium
