re: Does The Blatant Corruption of the SEC Officials Insult You As A Fan?

It insults me, it’s predictable. And yet, still I watch and hope. I’m an idiot.

Nonsense. People everywhere are retards.

Relax folks. Berge is a placeholder until the new coach is hired. The coach will get whatever AD he wants - no doubt very qualified or he wouldn’t be in the running for AD at a major university’s sports department.

Saw Herb Alpert this summer in Dallas at one of his tour stops. Easily 10k people in the packed hall. He played and sounded as good as ever. He didn’t do it for the money. Nine Grammy awards, 75 million in record sales. So why at 92 did the trumpet player worth 850 million come out of retirement and go on tour? Because he loves to play for people who want to hear his music. Heard it from his own mouth.
So quit projecting your goals, values, and motivations on a 74 year old man who is still in good health. I’m not saying he is coming but it wouldn’t surprise me.

re: There used to be a reverence for Tiger Stadium

I can only hope there is a change. First game I ever went to was as a freshman in 1976. Was not a Tiger fan but I was after the game. Tied #1 Nebraska 6-6 (and should’ve won). It was so amazingly loud and raucous the whole game. Been season ticket holder for 35 plus years and my kids were raised in Tiger Stadium. It has a special place in my heart. But truthfully the racket of the gangsta rap and not letting the band play and the incessant offensive chants and rude behavior of the fans has really killed the family atmosphere we used to enjoy. Now my 3 and 5 year old grandkids ask what does it mean to suck a Tiger’s di**. I get it in the student section - it’s always been irreverent. But keep that trash and foul language (to say nothing of the lyrics of those songs sung by the white thug wannabes around me) in the student section only. I have had as many as 12 season tix and brought hundreds of guests and Tiger fan concerts to the stadium but I’m just about done. Tailgating is pathetic compared to what it used to be. Sigh. I know I’m getting old but subjectively it’s just bad. I guess I’m gonna have to try to get an appt with the new AD at some point if I’m ever gonna set foot in the stadium. Might have to buy visitor’s section tix or just go to away games to experience decency and family atmosphere again. Painful actually write this.

Over on LSU interceptions is 4 and on pass interference calls on LSU D is 5.
Robbbobb - unless you are talking about next year they literally play none of those teams unless they make it to the SECC game. Ole Miss schedule is a joke this year except UGA

But the challenge. Could he do it again at LSU? Already the goat he would be even goater.

Todd Graves alone worth 22 billion. 22 billion less 50 million is 21,950,000,000
Get that ChikFilA outta the stadium and roll in the Cane’s. A little signage or maybe some naming rights and it’s a business expense. He was gonna pay 25 mil in taxes on that 50 mil.

This is about the speed of We Will Rock You, by Queen, one of the greatest stadium songs of all time! I think it has too many verses/words but I’m no editor. Get it down to 1:30 and I think you have a winner. Can’t imagine it not playing well in the stadium w lyrics posted.
He probably has a binder already made up.
re: Anyone know of a LSU watch bar in the Buffalo,NY area?

Was up there in 2023 when we played Missouri and ran into several local LSU fans at Tully’s in Williamstown. Was treated very well and we all celebrated the win. Good times!
Evidently they watch all the LSU games there and the bartender reserves a spot for them. They are not from BR, never met any alumni or folks from Louisiana - just adopted LSU. Told stories all game.
Tully's Good Times Main & Transit Rd Just northeast of the Buffalo airport.

Obviously you are not a musician. Musicians want to perform. They work hard to represent the university and prepare a halftime show. It ain't easy, brother. Just like it is customary to allow the opposing team to wear their white jerseys if they ask, the home team is under no obligation to allow it. If they don't, it's just another reason to hate the home team. Bulletin board material, or haven't you heard about that? Us old farts call it chickenshit but then, considering who we are talking about here, no one should be surprised. Ole Miss just generally is chickenshit.
No one is outraged; not one feels entitled. It's just poor manners. If you don't understand, just drink your beer with your shots and take your little potty break under the stands (if you even go to the games) and let those who can appreciate the talent and effort that is Tiger Band enjoy the spectacle.
LA Tech brought their full band and they marched - was a nice show. Those folks can say they marched halftime in Tiger Stadium and they will remember it for years, even if some of ya'll were too inebriated to notice. It is expensive and not everyone can afford or wants to afford bringing the entire band for every away game (Florida didn't). But when they do, and if they request to march halftime, it is poor sportsmanship to say no. I have enjoyed performances by many visiting bands in Tiger Stadium over the last 40 years. I make sure I take care of my business during stoppages in play so I can remain in the stands to enjoy the show. Lines are usually long at halftime, as well. You might want to try it sometime.

Sure, Joe Burrow was good in 2018 but a Heisman candidate in 2019? Besides, we never have Heisman quality QBs at LSU.

Oregon state was 56-4 and then played LSU. Don’t recall their coach saying if the could’ve beaten LSU they could have gone into baseball history as one of the best ever.

Wimbledon starts tomorrow and runs through July 13. Tour de France July 5 - 27. First pre-season Saints game is Aug 10. Fall football camp should start at end of July. I’m swamped.
