Had 220+ on UGA.

65 of that was on one play early. They ran the same play (QB run with a lead backer and pulling guard) and got gains with it almost every time. All other run plays didn't really do a ton to move thr needle. And they cannot pass for shite. Like at all.

Even with LSUs defense being atrocious, if you just watch the UGA film and see that one play they gashed us on and figure out how to stop it you'll be fine. Not to mention, our offense was sluggish for 3 quarters. Y'all's offense should be a lot more explosive so once auburn gets down a few scores they'll be done for.

Would actually play to our advantage. Our safeties play better in the box. I’m counting on AU committing to the run so we can get a big lead on them early. If they can’t contain Daniels, they’re going to have a tough time.

Slow start, they hang around way longer than they should on paper, LSU pulls away and wins by 10 or so.

Can’t sputter and get behind by two scores early.
Torch em quick and stomp that neck. Diggs and JD will both have another big game. LSU by 20.

Hugh Freeze is a good coach. I wouldn't underestimate them with our D.

I doubt that - Auburn was a TD ahead of Georgia late in 4th Qtr. So, Freeze does know how to motivate, I am surprised that they have only lost (1) game surprisingly being GA. Georgia looked very strong against Kentucky Saturday. We can’t overlook AU and I think that is part of why Ole Miss jumped on us at the beginning shocking LSU.

Name one actually bad QB LSU has made look elite? We just make good-great QBs with good-great receivers look elite. If you have nothing to work with in either department, you're not going to look that much better. They may look competent vs LSU, but that's about it.

Absolutely. Hugh Freeze should have the War Eagles ready to play and LSU should anticipate that. This team gave top ranked Georgia a real battle a few weeks ago.

This series has over the years included many classic games. For example, LSU edged Auburn and future Heisman winner Pat Sullivan, 21-20 in 1969, as the Tigers blocked an extra point kick to preserve victory.

There was the Earthquake game as Tommy Hodson passed to Eddie Fuller in the closing minutes for a 7-6 win.

Who can forget the horribly incompetent officiating that enabled Auburn to win 7-3 in 2006; or the Cole Tracy field goal on the final snap a few years ago.

Even in the 2019 national title run, LSU’s closest game was the 23-20 victory over Auburn.

We hope for a comfortable victory, but certainly cannot take that for granted.

Stack the box, play a lot of cover zero and blitz a ton. Jump on them early and try to get a few tds up and rest JD

It’ll be a frustrating high scoring nail biter. Could go either way.

Front 7 must win their assignments and get the D off the field. Don't let them dink & dunk all the way down field wearing us down. Win 3d down.

OFF must remain balanced with the ability to make explosive plays. Don't need JD getting beat up by AUBs DL. Going to be a battle in trenches. Bring your big boy pants and hit somebody.

Hugh Freeze usually has a good offense. With a week off to rest and game plan against our defense (y’all go deep, qb will pick which open man to throw to) it could be a problem to start. But I feel the defense will again do enough to let the offense out score them. JD5 will be fine.

I get the joke, but seriously not even our defense could make Thorne look like Tom Brady. Dude is Turrible, with a capital Charles Barkley.

Hopefully they don't put Robby Ashford in because he threw for 337 yards on us last year.

If they are going to run the whole game, it's not going to be that high scoring.

If our defense is solid against the run and their defensive backfield is the weakest link, we'll score more early forcing them to throw. Unless we get to their QB in passing situations, the end result will be under the spread. This isn't going to be a game where we start bragging about DBU.

What to think of Auburn game next week

We should not be picked apart through the air like we have been all year. And this should be the week we see the most improvement from our Dline. With that being said our run defense has still been pretty terrible so Auburn is going to move the ball against us but because they aren't the best at throwing the ball hoping we can force a few field goals instead of giving up Touchdowns. Also helps playing at home.

The next two weeks our rush defense is going to be tested almost every play. Maybe we can gain some confidence if we can start to dominate the line of scrimmage defensively. Who knows?
