Getting our arse kicked in the Swamp by Tebow and having Brandon Spikes kick the ball through the uprights was rough

No, I was in the student section for 17-12 in 1979.
THAT was bitter.
—-Naaaaaa. We were so pumped after that game, leaving the stadium shouting LSU LSU LSU ! That hasn’t happened since, losing and yet being defiant.

PS—Miami Of Ohio.

That game felt ‘just OK’ for roughly 10 minutes. It was a ‘I Hope’ game.

A&M 7 overtime loss
I didn't know I was capable of getting as angry about sports as I got that night sitting in my living room. Watching those homos celebrate that purchased victory, and then learning they have some sort of fa66ot oil painting of the celebration in the conference room of their football operations facility, that painting belongs in Baton Rouge. It will hang there one day.

If we were actually any good this would hurt much worse, but once again we aren’t good and on top of that we lack the best player in the country. Long season ahead

But LSU really never had the chance to win that game

If this is the criteria then it would be that A&M game that went on forever until we got screwed.

2012 Bama. Then, 2014 Bama. Not sure why 21-0 isn’t most bitter/painful.

Like others have said - not sure 2024 USC is top 20.

I was barely disappointed by this loss. The team looked solid, the playoff will inevitably have 3 loss teams in it, and I honestly expected LSU to lose this game.

This game has absolutely nothing on the pure misery that was losing:
2004 Capital One Bowl against Iowa
2005 "Monday Night Football" against Tennessee
2006 “Ref-Gate” vs Auburn
2007 Arkansas
2009 "Meltdown in Mississippi" to Ole Miss
2009 Capital One Bowl to Penn St
2010 Auburn
1/9/12 to Alabama
2012 Alabama
2014 Alabama
2020 Miss St
2021 UCLA

And another after that but pretty much the same damn way.

Yep. We managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in both games.

The opener vs Florida St in New Orleans (in NOLA!!) two years ago - getting the game-tying XP (XP!!) blocked after an unbelievable TD drive was a far more bitter pill to swallow than the USC loss in Vegas. Not even close.

not seen, but I remember listening to the 2002 Arkansas game on the radio because I was driving to see a girl over Thanksgiving break. It felt like I was listening to live reporting from a tankcar derailment and explosion.

The girl had an amazing rack though, so I quickly forgot about the game by the time I got to her house. I need to look for up on Facebook and see how she's doing...

Yeldon with the Chavis Prevent Defense game or USC 79 are pretty close as far as all-time bitter loses.

OP apparently hasn't seen many LSU football games....

I remember UF beating us 58-3 in the early 90s. There are MANY far worse than Sunday.

This is the angriest I've ever been over a football game. 2022 aTm... they were horrible. And we let them run us the frick over. When achain ripped of that final TD run I slammed my hands on the kitchen bar not realizing I was holding a beer bottle. Still got the scars from the glass....

In 30yrs of life, I've never gotten so mad I've done something to hurt myself.
