Kiffin is the first Ole Miss coach since Vaught to win 10 games in multiple seasons. He is trying to put together another stellar year with the hope of cashing that in for a better job, maybe an NFL job.

Georgia is adding pieces but they are have built and continuing to restock through High Scholl Recruits. If you think otherwise just look at the recruiting rankings.

I believe this is the future as well but there are a shite ton of issues to get around for it to happen and I have a hard time seeing them being worked out in that time frame. The biggest ones are the share distribution, then you have the contracts. Its been mentioned before, what happens after 4 years? What's to stop colleges from paying kids out of eligibility to continue playing? Are they going to collective bargain eligibility limits? That cat is hard to put back in the bag when you start talking employer/employee relationships. Whole other world of problems arise through that avenue.
Then you have the NFL problem. At the point of collective bargaining and revenue sharing you are then direct competition for the NFL. Ask any league that ever tried to compete with them how it worked out. Unless they are part of the deal, meaning essentially having ownership/governing stake, college football would be put back into their place over at the kids table.
While I do believe it is inevitable, it's no simple transition and definitely not one fans are going to be excited about.

Ole Miss is doing what FSU did. Veteran QB coming back among others so Go all in on one year

Only difference is Ole Miss is in the SEC so if they dominate you know they’re legit and there’s no disputing.

LSU's NIL efforts are allegedly very disorganized

Or they just got some bad apples in the portal last year and are pulling back some. Plus they need to save money for the next two classes out of Louisiana. You want to win consistently sign the top guys out of LA next two years and LSU will be back where we need to be for the foreseeable future.

With the transfer rules being what they are today, the portal is just as important as high school recruiting. You can’t rely on high school recruits staying 3-4 years anymore.

Honestly by QB recent history we are 1 yr away. It took Burrow until year 2 to click and it took Daniels year 2 to click. I expect the same with Nuss and better chemistry with WRs in year 2.

Denbrock leaving hurts badly from a continuity standpoint. Now, everyone has to learn a new system and gel in it by September.

If all the player wants is money, we don’t want them. OM will fail and I will be laughing the whole time!

OM knows they will never be able to out recruit other SEC powers and build the depth through high school ranks so they are taking advantage of the portal in an attempt to catch lightning in the bottle, the portal is hit and miss as we saw this past year with our defense..

What's to prevent 2 years from now our Kelly-coached guys from leaving for the highest bidder?

I heard a rumor that they are letting these transfers sniff Katy Perry’s panties.

Going all in for next season instead of looking at the long game.

LSU already is going to have to hand a bunch of players their walking papers to get to the 85 scholarship limit for the 2024 season. Then take a hard look at next years (2025) recruiting class, which (if it holds up) could top A&Ms ‘22 class.

Basically, there is a massive need to balance the roster at LSU right now. The Portal for LSU is about being extremely selective to fill needs and avoid over crowding.

Kiffin not in for the long term
He will bolt for a bigger job at some point
You can’t keep processing your signing classes for the portal
