I hope they are both excellent. If one is injured the other can come in and never miss a beat. No one knows which is better.

Weird bunch of people that come here and claim to be LSU fans.

very true statement for SOME of the posters on here. I seriously doubt they are LSU fans; they obviously have no life to falsely register just to "troll" another fan base and give false impresssions to recruits, etc

but, LSU fans have always (50 years as a fan and alum) chosen the back up as the greatest QB ever to don the purple and gold. the FACT is that our two premier (potential) QB's will battle it out next year, in practice and in the actual games themselves. I am not opposed to a 2 qb system (or a modified version). Brennen can throw that ball but has shown, in very limited action, he can throw interceptions also. and we've never seen Narcisse so who knows who our QB is gonna be?

Because they think of things in absolutes, not giving players the benefit of being unique individuals.

They are very simple minded so they think of it as "the black one has accuracy issues he's totally a Brandon Harris clone, no thank you. We need a smart white guy to run this offense"

Or

"The white guy can sling it sure but do we really need a statue in the pocket. He doesn't weigh enough"

First of all, frick you. I'm not choosing one side over the other, I don't give a shite about who starts as long as they give LSU the best chance to win, I was just passing along info from a starter on the defense.

I want them both to succeed.

What I can't figure out is the tards who think they both suck because they couldn't take the starting job away from a 5th year senior.

Why does everything have to turn into a race thing?

I'll take the best qb. I don't care if he's a FR or SR

My mind isn't made up on either. My hope is that Narcisse gets better passing because I want a QB who can run. I want a good passer, but I want a legit dual threat foremost.

I don't care about race or star ranking as I've said numerous times I wish we had Mayfield, or Chad Kelly. Bobby Petrino, known pro style guy that always had pocket passers, started incorporating spread concepts and read option when he started Lamar Jackson. Feunte is also a know pro style guy, but incorporated Paxton Lynch, and even moreso, Jerod Evans into his scheme.

I think when you have a case like Narcisse/Brennan...or Lee/Jefferson...race does matter to a significant portion of the fan base and I say that as a matter of experience. Some openly admit it and others hide it but you can usually still tell when that's their motivation.

Fact: absolutely no one knows enough at this point to have an intelligent opinion.

Therefor: Ranters who take a position are just guessing. Some are realistic about it. Others actually believe they "know." Ignore both types and always remember, stupid is as stupid does.

Backup QB is always the best QB

Exactly. He who has not played has made no errors.

But 2nd string QB is best job in NFL.
Good money
Never get hit = longevity
Never a boring practice. Get to mimic other teams QB wearing the don’t hit me jersey

You'd think one thing everyone could agree on is let best man win and nobody really knows who that is yet.

This is a message board titled "Tiger Rant." That's what we do. We rant on about stupid shite, call each other names, play devils advocate against stuff we even agree with just for the sake of argument. We almost all bleed purple and gold though and cheer on the Tigers come game time...I for one have no problem with it.

Pretty simple really.

49.5% of the rant hear "mobile QB" and automatically think the kid is the next coming of Michael Vick.

Another 49.5% hear "pocket passer" and think the kid is the next coming of Peyton Manning.

Approximately 1% actually do research (and I don't mean the search feature on TRant) into the kids career and abilities. Those are the ones who usually say "X qb has this going for them, but needs to some work here. Could be a special one."

In summary, 99% of the rant have no idea what they're talking about.
