If the defender had him, legally or not, Nuss should never have tried to make the throw. That wasn't an offsides/free play scenario. There was no guarantee it was a foul (and it wasn't even clearly a horsecollar).
That is a bad decision unless it's 4th down to end the game.

I didn’t say or acted like he played terrible. He was wildly inconsistent & it almost resulted in a loss.

Just say you hate Nuss and are desperate to criticize him for things he shouldn't be criticized for. This is absurd at this point. There's a reason it's a penalty and they don't keep the interception.

Again, this isn't dragging Nuss. Nuss is fine, and he shouldn't be compared to a historic QB like JD. It's not fair to Nuss. If Nuss stops his bad habits and keeps developing he could maybe be all-SEC next year.

If he's mid throw and gets grabbed, if he tries to pull the back in he also risks fumbling. It happens all the time.
By your logic Moss of USC should have taken the sack when Weeks hit him instead of completing the 20+ yard catch against LSU.
