Don’t ever recall seeing such a complete overhaul in styles in all my seasons of watching football. Was Ed calling the shots til Bama then Deronte? Vice versa? What happened and why did it take so long?

It’s a defense you play when you have nothing to lose.

So many losses of personnel, they started using schemes that actually fit the players we have.

Three likely options:

1). Players didn’t know the full scheme/blitz packages well enough earlier in the year to employ them.

2). DC still figuring out playcalling (unlikely)

3). HC handcuffing the DC, not letting him call anything other than base 4-3 (most likely)

Desperate times called for desperate measures.

Deronte had nothing to lose and had to adapt or get run the F over

4) Jones' agent called him and told him to get his shite together or he'd be collecting unemployment next season.

We have changed to more of a 3-4 look due to inuries. Bj has stood up more and we typically have an olb opposite him. I think they see they have no true 4-3 de on team not injured.

The beginning of the year they were playing not to lose. Now they are playing to have a chance to win.

Changed to 3-4. Baskerville and smith knew responsibilities for 3-4. Made all the difference in the works as far as gap discipline and pass D is concerned. Also allowed for more blitz packages.

My theory is that after O found out he’s gone and got his buyout, he said frick it and stopped being part of game planning and now we are seeing what Daronte wanted to do all along.

In other words, Ed is no longer meddling and dictating to the DC what to do.

Most likely idiot Ed told Darante to keep it simple/base because he was worried about busted coverages and after the fired his dumbass Daronte said F u I am running the D the way I want

Baskerville looked like Ali Highsmith last night and Clark has been incredible the last 2 weeks.

A new coordinator and defense take most of a season to install and get everything right. A slow start should have been expected by everyone.

The defense showed improvement every single week and the last two weeks has looked ELITE. Wish I could say the same for the offense.

It's not that we're better at what we were doing, it's that it's a very, very style.

And I agree, D has been stellar the last two weeks.

1) Ed's headset is turned off, mostly, since the public firing.

2) When it's on, it's tuned into reruns of Charlie Brown. During commercial breaks, he calls timeouts to see how the team is doing.

4) Players intentionally sandbagging to get rid of O.

Privileged Superstars Are Now Sitting Out, Hungry Guys Are Now Playing.

Players are finally in football shape after the soft the soft Orgeron preseason

Same happened last year, just not as dramatic.
