yeah, we heard we have a full roster... yet no details.... i'd like to know what players we actually have vs. trusting a known liar...
Your opinion lost credibility the moment revealed that you did not know the game next week is just an exhibition game. The season doesn't start until 11/3.

i'm not sold on Wade, and yes, he had a good little run while here, but dunno... i'm not ready to put full trust in him quite yet... i may in the future, but right now, i'm just not there with him
This is his 13th season as a D-1 HC. In the prior 12 years, at 5 different stops, he's NEVER had a losing season, and has made the NCAA tournament 8x. The only time he missed was his first two seasons at UT-Chattanooga, his first season at LSU (cleaning up a last place team) and in 2020 when LSU would have made the tournament had it not been canceled. He's 11th among all active coaches in career winning %. He has the second highest winning % of any LSU HC who has coached more than two seasons. The leader is a guy that coached literally 100+ years ago.
But yeah, we're not quite sure he can win at LSU
I won't insult anyone's intelligence, so I will say it this way. I'm reasonably confident LSU has the least informed fanbase in the SEC when it comes to basketball. It's basically a hive-mind of misinformation and lack of critical thinking skills

You'd think ChatGPT would have better spelling and grammar. AI still has a ways to go.

Look Wade is a damn good coach but the games he is playing makes no sense and are stupid.
LSU's 26-27 season record at the moment is 0-0. Perhaps it's just me, but I'll wait to see some actual results before making any sweeping declarations.

It is actually highly disrespectful to LSU basketball fans
No, what is highly disrespectful to LSU basketball fans is making them watch an awful 4 year waste of time as their favorite program sunk to the bottom of the SEC. As waste of time that some so-called LSU basketball fans actually wanted to see continue! People who are actually basketball fans, not just casual chime-ins are very happy to have the coach back who produced the most consistent period of success the program had in three decades. They are happy to have a guy who is willing to try to win big...even if the current approach may be very unconventional. That's because ANYTHING is better than the 4 year road to nowhere LSU basketball fans had to sit through.
All of the concerns about the NCAA giving LSU the "death penalty" in 2022 were misplaced. As it turns out, LSU's (then) AD was MORE than capable of self imposing a death penalty on the program.
Wade doesn't owe me weekly updates on the roster, or any updates on the roster for that matter. ALL I care about are the results in the season

What a load of BS. Come on, Alt, this is nonsense. Most fans just see a scheduled game and aren't as into the semantics as you are.

Is anyone saying that? Concern for this season and the lack of listed players is not the same as thinking Wade cannot win at LSU. The dude can win anywhere. He has proven that.

I don't think it is any worse than half the SEC schools. And I personally feel underinformed about the specifics of the roster. Saying you're practicing with a full 15 without any specifics in not informative at all.
If you do not have inside information and are completely unconcerned by the current roster listings, you are almost as bad as the folks who are screaming the sky is falling. It's concerning but not worth getting overly concerned about unless you thought LSU was gonna make a deep run in Wade's first season.

Nope, we won't validate your concern.

Opening day roster will probably be:
Transfers:
Nunez
Bashir
Ugochukwu
Dioubate
5 for 5 Players (undrafted, no pro contracts):
Dent
Clark
International Players:
Dessert
Niang
Ruzik
Levy
Luis
"Practice Squad" (listed on Tigerrag.com):
Jordan Bender
Luke Stansbury
I think Luis is SOL, and the SEC is going to dig in hard to not allow 2-way/G-League players to be rostered. International players are automatically entered into the NBA draft when they're 22, so the SEC has a decision to make. Relevant info: Ole Miss had a 22 year old former professional Australian player cleared yesterday (automatically entered into 2026 draft, went undrafted).
Hopefully, these rulings start rolling in over the next week and people can chill the f out.

Australian guard Ben Henshall has signed with Ole Miss, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.
Henshall, 22, has spent the past three seasons playing professional basketball with the Perth Wildcats, but he began assessing his college eligibility once his 2025-26 National Basketball League (NBL) campaign was complete. He attended the NBA draft combine before the 2025 draft, ultimately withdrawing his name and, after briefly entertaining college interest, re-signing with Perth. He was auto-eligible for last month's draft but wasn't selected.
Henshall will join Ole Miss as a member of its 2026 class. There is hope he'll have two years of eligibility, sources said, though whether he'll be cleared to play a second season is still to be determined.
Hopefully, these rulings start rolling in over the next week and people can chill the f out.

Any schedule you look at is going to reflect it is an exhibition game. The official LSU website says "EXHIBITION" in bold print on the schedule. In fact, exhibition is listed twice.

That seems to imply a lack of trust that he can win in general

You ARE underinformed. Me too. But as simply a fan we don't need to know the specifics. We might want to know, but our knowledge or lack thereof concerning the program doesn't affect anything on the court

Benefit of the doubt. I've seen the guy win everywhere he's been for over a decade, including LSU. I've seen how meticulous and granular he is about building his roster, scheduling, and every other aspect. So until proven wrong, based on past results I'm going to give him the benefit he knows what he's doing to continue to win.

unless you thought LSU was gonna make a deep run in Wade's first season.
Every year in basketball today is an opportunity to make a deep run. Expectations don't change because the last HC was awful for four years. This is a completely new team and baseline expectations are a NCAA Tournament appearance. How that comes about is his job, not mine. And if LSU fall short of that because of a failure to build a quality roster then Wade should get criticism. But until the "L"s start piling up I'm not going to be concerned in October just because I, personally, don't know what the official roster looks like. November 3rd starts the evaluation process. Everything prior to that from a fans perspective is just noise

i'm fully aware of when the season starts... but we still have a basketball game, even if a scrimmage, against McNeese in 6 days and we STILL have yet to see a list of players that are actually signed and eligible to play for LSU... you see any other programs, in the country, that lists only 4 players on their own website? it's a little concerning to be this close to actually playing a game and we only know of 4 players that are actually signed and eligible to play
so i don't give a frick about your percieved "credibiilty" bullshite... get over yourself, you self-righteous douchebag

that's great... i can see all this has you and others convinced that we are destined for greatness with Wade as our coach... i personally do not share the same view quite yet... we can agree to disagree on this, and both still be fans of the program, so that's that...

so, you are the MOST informed and got it all figured out, huh? man, that's great... i love this for you... the rest of us imbeciles and "least informed" will just have to envy your greatness, until we can hopefully be exaulted to your amazing level of knowledge of SEC basketball... i pray that i, and apparently everyone else here, can be as well informed and awesome as you one day

We'll have enough players. Even if tPear has to raid LSU intramurals or the tuba room, he'll assemble a real team. Even if he has seven or eight scrubs without scholarships, they'll win more than McMahon's quota of three conference games.

100% - those guys have proven time and again they have a vendetta for getting WW - many others that are doing the same get no push back whatsoever, it is what it is......it's not going to change.
What has changed is this admin will back WW and not cower to these hypocritical, pack journalists still carrying water for Calipari for some reason.

Sorry Chicken. This thread concerns freaking out over a glorified scrimmage in 6 days that LSU may have to "forfeit" even though the game doesn't count for anything.
