Half the team would be on the bus now and get dropped off in Jackson.

This reminds me of the football team this year. All the talent in the world but not executing.

This is bad. JJ has earned a meeting with Verge after this series and has some explaining to do as well as demonstrate a plan of correction and lessons learned.

Some of you people are such women.

Do they have all the talent in the world though? There is not a single hitter who strikes fear in a pitcher. Curiel is a great batter but he’s more of a single/doubles guy. Brown is the closest thing we got but he’s not the Crews/Jared Jones type either.

“Ok men, I hate being that coach, but I wrote a long list of names on a piece of paper. So when we get back to Baton Rouge, if your name is on this list, you will turn your jerseys in and give them back to the equipment manager and y’all will spend the remainder of your time here at LSU focusing strictly on academics. Because your LSU baseball career is over”

I’d say something close to that.

But he’s not above criticism or meeting with the AD to explain what went wrong and what the fix is. I appreciate JJ, but he doesn’t get a lifetime contract.

100% agree. Nobody is above this. We can have a great year at our jobs but are held accountable if we fall off the cliff right after

You think Verge knows more about baseball that Jay!?

Jay has won 2 of the last 3 NCs. The ‘24 team had some problems, but got rolling and was one out from a super regional.

Jay knows what he is doing. He has forgotten more about running a baseball team than you and Verge ever knew.

I don’t think I’d say much…
With an exasperated expression, I’d just say…. “I’m out of answers…. Yall figure it out… I’m going to the hotel. See yall in the morning.”

Then see how they respond.

I think Jay is a hell of a coach but there's no denying how disappointing a lot of the team is and just how sloppy they're playing.

I don't think it's think it's things Jay can fix, I think you just need to cycle through some guys. The Friday night game when you lose because your catcher can't catch the ball, your 2nd basemen just doesn't step on the base and your firebaseman can't catch.

These dudes have been playing these positions their entire life, this isn't poor coaching. It's players playing poorly.

Show them the videos of the grown man fighting Ole Miss students in the stands. Let them laugh a bit. Then say, "that old bastard has fought harder against Ole Miss than any of you guys. Let me know when someone, anyone, on this team is tired of this bullshite, and has half the pride for the name on the front of your jersey than this man does." Then just walk out. Then get thrown out top of the first inning today and go have a beer.

Crews is a once every ten years player. But Brown is comparable to Jones. This lineup is stacked with talent but they swing at garbage and take strikes.
