During the broadcast they said LSU had a 48% chance of the playoffs if the won but only a 15% chance with a loss. I’m going to say 15% chance (or 1:6.5).

This is calculable, whatever the odds are of LSU winning out

Go do the work

Just period. When the offense can't come up with a single play in 1 game and a single yard in another, you can't put it all on the defense (although some of Baker's second half calls are amazingly bad).

LSU has to win out to go to the playoffs in 2026. So, you're saying there is almost a 1 in 6 chance that happens.

Quit with the playoff talk at least with a 9-3 record. Too many nonSEC teams with better records this year.

I think we will finish 9-3 and that will be fine with me for this year.

I got a feeling we gonna look back at the end of year and wanna kick ourselves in the arse for this Kentucky loss.

Yep . Win that game and things are looking much better .
Could finish 9-3 and miss the playoffs because the head coach didn’t wanna go for a yard .

the thing about this team is that I cant point to any glaring issues to fix. its easier to point to something like when jayden won the Heisman and say its this...this team doesn't have that glaring obvious issue.
although I think injuries have taken the defense from unreal to above average

Will you be fine with 8-4? 7-5? 6-6?

Turnovers and can't score TDs in the redzone against quality opponents. Those are pretty big considering what we face in the back half of the season.

The 9 SEC conference games completely changes the playoff outlook this year. That’s why the committee came out and says that SOS will play a bigger role this year.

It’s because we are by far the best conference top to bottom where mid-tier teams like LSU currently sitting in the bottom half of the conference standings are more deserving than any 11-1 ACC or Big 12 team that have 0 top 25 wins on their resume at year end. Teams like Utah fall into this bucket where they could go win out and lose to ranked BYU and the best win on their schedule all season would be Houston.

Having said all that 9-3 SEC teams will make the playoff this year simply because the SEC should cannibalize itself where only 2-3 teams will finish with less than 3 losses. That opens up a couple spots for a 3 loss SEC team to get in. Theoretically if the SEC standings finish like this we could get in so I think there’s a shot for us to get in without running the table so I say 25-30%. There’s a good number of scenarios where LSU finishes 9-3 and still finishes top 4 or 5 in the SEC. For instance I have LSU beating Texas and Bama at home here and losing @Tennessee.

We have to play better on the road (have Auburn, UTenn, Arky coming up). All our games are winnable.

Our D has made some really stoopid, inexcusable mistakes on the road.

Don't bet on it. This LSU team is 8-4, at best. Lane Kiffin needs another year and that's understandable.

Just be prepared for the Texas bowl again. That's where this team is heading.
