I was told last night this team is good, just a bad season.

What are we saying tonight?

Keep in mind, two things can be true. This can be a bad team and Jay can fix it.

Both are/can be true.
This year’s team overall is bad.
And Jay most certainly can fix it.

Sunshine pumpers are always around. They defended Miles until the very day he got canned.

What’s the alternative? Spending entire seasons trashing the team only for them to end up winning the title, like you?

The season is done. Let’s move on and let Jay work towards the next one.

Teams are allowed to get better, but it is not required.

This team is a mix of bad injury luck, misfires on getting transfers, and talent that's young and inexperienced.

I think our young players are a good building block for the next couple of years and ultimately I think we'll be back where we expext to be in short order. This year though, the team constructed as is in 2026, is just not a good team.

Its on the pitching staff. Worse group of pitchers i have ever seen at LSU. Thats where we missed. These guys should all walk at the end of the season

Our pitching hasn't really improved. But guys are having to pitch in positions Jay wouldn't pitch them due to injuries. Our young position players have all improved this year. Both at the plate and in the field.

I feel a lot better about this team next year than I did a month ago. A lot of guys have gotten better, even if it hasn't resulted in wins against good teams.

They also defended and wanted to keep McMahon, Orgeron, and Kelly,

Nope you cant say nothing bad about this team. This is a message board and you cannot have an opinion.

we have a ton of young pitchers.

Evans, sophomore
Schmidt, sophomore
Rizy, sophomore
Cooper Williams, sophomore
Lachenmayer, sophomore
Plog, sophomore
Ricken, freshman
Sheerin, sophomore
Theophilus, freshman
Paz, freshman

I feel pretty good about that core. None of those guys have been worse than the upper classmen

My problem isn't with people saying this team isn't good. It's people doing so after the second series of the season, when there's plenty of time to improve. Or, like in this case, when you insinuate a coach who won a championship less than a year ago, his second in 3 seasons, should be fired because of said bad season. It's an asinine stance.

4 true freshman playing and 2/3 weekend starters are out. I’m not saying they are bad. I’m gonna say that they whiffed on the transfer portal and that has been the difference this season.

Of course you are.

That said, USCe must be the worst D1 team in the country

Losing a series to Sac St was a huge warning sign. The critical comments were warranted and correct.

This baseball season is every bit as bad as the 3 win basketball team meaning bottom 3 in SEC.

JJ deserves to feel some heat but at same time be given a chance to fix it.
