We basically have Jalen Hurts.

And anyone who thinks that's a bad thing is incorrect on many levels.

The goalposts can't move anymore.

"That running shite won't fly in the SEC".

Okay well it just did. To the tune of a 15 point win.

What's next ?

All I see is a guy who is annoying as frick to other teams due to his ability to just go grab a 1st down by taking off.

Hurts sucks and really held Alabama back in 2016 and 2017. Freshman Tua bailed him out in 2017. Those two seasons had some absolutely brutal offensive moments for Alabama.

Daniels can be a lot better than Hurts

They lost a total of two games in '16-'17.

Wasn't because Jalen sucked.

If Jaylen can pick his spots better on when to run and get through his progressions he can be really good. He’s already shown that he can put the team on his back and lead them on a crucial drive, that he can take being coached and that he’s got a lot of poise. He’s got enough arm to make all the throws he needs to make too, just needs some fine tuning

Alabama doesn't lose many games no matter who the QB is. Would have been three had Tua not bailed him out. Because Hurts sucks. The Auburn game in 2017 was a horrible performance. Then the National Championship game was a disgrace to his family.

I saw a lot of people complaining about him smiling after his mistakes and thinking it was him being arrogant.

But it wasn't. He simply shook that shite off and got ready for the next snap. I really like Daniels.

LSU isn't competing for a national championship this year.

Better potential comparison would be RGIII.

I love what he's doing. Realistically though he won't make it past the Florida game at this rate. He will suffer from hits to a detrimental point. I sure hope I'm wrong but he doesn't have the frame Hurts had.

Also a tired point. He might get injured god forbid, but he's not going to get his arse beat so bad he breaks down.

Dudes rushing vision is elite, he either gets out of bounds or hits the deck most of the time.

See your point, but Hurts is a giant. I'm not sure Jayden will make it through the season if he takes that many shots every week. However, to his credit, the times he didn't protect himself were big spots where he had to take the shot and he took every one and got right up.

We largely won that game in the 2nd half because of our running backs and JD finally started passing more, not because of JD running the ball.

good god.

Hurts was something like 26-2 as a starter at Alabama, leading them to two National Championship games. And followed that up with a monster year at Oklahoma and is now in the NFL.

Hurts total college stats:

Passing
682-1046
65.1%
9,477 yards
80 TD
20 INT
162.6 Rating

Rushing
614 carries
3,274 yards
5.33 avg
43 TD

That's exceptional, my man.

I think ur right on every count

After the first 2 games, I felt like he could progress to a pass first guy, but those thoughts are gone now

Still the best option at this time, because he does protect the ball

And I do think when teams begin to crowd the box, that he will get some opportunities for quick reads that will result in longer gains through the air
