No one cares about Hurts' padded stats by playing a season in the Big 12.

Bama Hurts or Eagles Hurts?
irrelevant. NFL is a completely different game than college ball.

Bama doesn't win like that without hurts.

Nick Saban isn't a dumbass.

We largely won that game in the 2nd half because of our running backs and JD finally started passing more, not because of JD running the ball.

MooState dropping a lot of easy tosses aided, too

You're also talking about a true freshmen vs a SR.

come on, man. Hurts killed it at Alabama.

Alabama passing stats:
445-706
63.0%
5626 yards
48 TD
12 INT

Rushing
381 carries
1995 yards
5.24 avg
23 TDs

Hurts sucks and really held Alabama back in 2016 and 2017. Freshman Tua bailed him out in 2017.

And Hurts bailed Tua out in the 2018 SEC Championship Game. Bama was ranked #12 and #13 in team rushing in 2016 and 2017 and #1 in total defense both seasons. Hurts worked within the confines of Bama's ball control, offensive system at that time. When he went to Oklahoma, he flourished as a dual threat QB in that offense.

Yeah! If M State had our receivers or similar, they would have won the game, IMO.

has he even taken any big hits?
IDK if I would call them big hits but he took a few shots against Miss. ST. His TD run and a different play when he came up "feelin it."
These types of shots I would "assume" will add up and begin to slow him down a bit. Providing this is the case it may force him to "see" the field and become a more complete QB. This may happen anyway.
The entire team is progressing in the right direction.

he's actually a better thrower than hurts. just needs to be in the right scheme. RPO, up tempo offense.

They don't strike me as particularly similar other than being black running quarterbacks.

Stupid comparison

Or Lamar Jackson. Like JD5, Jackson is not only fast and evasive, it's really hard to get a clean shot against him.

As for JD5's overall play, I know one thing: he just outplayed Will Rogers, and that's saying something.
