I was planning on parking levee lots. Would you expect there to be spots 3 hours before kickoff?

Edit: I used to get to campus at 7am when we did our tailgates and always had a spot to park, but now that Im older and have saturday morning things to do, Ill be getting to campus around 2pm this weekend unfortunately. Ill probably have to learn the hard way.

I left home (South BR near Shenandoah) around 4:00 Saturday. Got to South Levee Lot within 30 minutes taking River Road all the way from the casino. Half the lot was still empty when I got there 2 hours before kickoff.

Same. I’m just glad they know how bad it was

It was only mentioned live in the broadcast on ESPN. No way to hide from it lol.

For the life of me, I don't know why CATS couldn't shuttle people from Southern to LSU. Could've cut traffic. Down by probably 25%

Heard that BS for over a decade. BR cops are now and have always been incompetent.

Let’s say one had, say, 25 or 30 years to figure out something that is absolutely the same year in and year out. I think they would be beyond fricking it up by now?

I haven't been to a game since '04, but I hear about the post game traffic issues a lot. What exactly is the big problem and why has it been an impossible issue to resolve?

BRPD abandoned their posts in the middle of gameday. How can you ensure that won’t happen again?

Stanford was 100% open

Yeah, but they don't let you go left off of Highland leaving via that route with contraflow. Since you have two lanes of contraflow on Highland, seems that (Highland to Stanford) would be a good route to take some of the pressure off of Lee/College.

I have absolutely no faith that BRPD will do any better next week.

My only hope is that the state police step in and run the show more if they have the guys to spare.

We park in 201, in the middle of all of it... I'll believe it when I see it

The City should not let the cops control it.

Find the smartest traffic engineer in the country and make him/her/them the traffic czar. Let them observe traffic flow via helicopter, video, etc. for a few games and then devise a plan to best empty the lots. Implement it.

If it works, they get a key to the city, $1,000,000, and a weekend with the Golden Girl of their choice.

Jordy Culotta said this morning that police closed Standford Ave that has 2 lanes to the interstate but they make people go to College that only has one lane.

He is full of shite as usual. That is how I exited the game. Both lanes open to I-10. Stanford was held up going south from Perkins to let cars out of S.Stadium...

Exactly. I park strategicly for my exit. 20 min walk to car and 10 min I am on I-10...

I don't get how this is an excuse. There were fewer people on campus and in the stadium than for a major SEC game. Not to mention plenty of people left at half time. The mess in the levee lots and Alex Box had nothing to do with playing Southern.

What’s the plan, hoping the team takes the L in a few more games so less people show up?
