Actually great to hear they acknowledge that they have to do something to fix it and realize there is a problem

at one point the cops were stopping traffic to let drunks fans cross Nicholson at Brightside (we live in Riverbend) but wouldn't let cars cars cross Nicholson

Same. I’m just glad they know how bad it was and want to fix it.

Jordy Culotta said this morning that police closed Standford Ave that has 2 lanes to the interstate but they make people go to College that only has one lane.

A lot of their street closures make absolutely no sense. Just keep everything open but police it.

Stanford was 100% open.

If he meant LSU avenue, that is never open and you always have to take highland to college.

People need to learn where to park to make their exit easier.
FYI if you have a parking pass to park at the stadium, you will be one of the last people off campus. Those people walking to their car will beat you in line.

No one continues to tailgate after games anymore. We used to just keep the party going til 1am or so and then book out.

Another issue you have is idiots thinking they can go against contraflow. So everyone has to switch over to one lane.

This weekend we actually had some jackass in a jacked up truck block both lanes on S Stadium in contraflow. He wouldn’t let us go by and had a huge line behind us. Half the idiots have no idea how it works.

LSU has only been playing football in Tiger Stadium for almost 100 years. Yet, the school, city and police act like it was a shock traffic was heavy

I keep hearing this. There were hundreds of cars that didn’t move within the South Levee Lot for 2 hours. That is the farthest parking lot away from Tiger Stadium with a direct route and controflow leaving campus.

That should not happen no matter what. I’m fine sitting in traffic on a roadway for an hour. There is no reason I should sit in a parking lot for 2 hours without moving.

Is taking River road to the casino and out onto Nicholson still an option?
Gonna be making my first game in a couple years this upcoming Saturday.

There was heavy traffic once you get to the casino but it honestly wasn’t horrible.

I always park in the levee lots because its the easiest to get out. I took River Road to Ben Hur and turned right on Nicholson to drop my cousin off at his house in Pelican Lakes. Took Burbank to Essen and then to the interstate. I was home across the river in 45 minutes from getting to my truck
