Maybe reading comprehension isn’t your thing.
LSU is obviously included in the handful of schools but the fact remains the overwhelming majority could give two shits about college baseball .

Are you tied down and forced to watch like Alex in A Clockwork Orange?

If not pick up one of these, universal remote, $8.69 at WalMart, probably cheaper with your employee discount as a door greeter.

Maybe I feel the same way about ludicrous salaries of our football coaches. Everyone has opinions.

I understand your comments are your opinion; however there are so many inaccuracies in what you say.

First of all, have you been to an LSU women’s game? I have season tickets and can testify the atmosphere is electric, the quality of play improves every year, and the team is well coached.

You are missing out.

It’s an awful product.
you’re correct, but Title IX requires it.

If women’s sports were forced to survive on their own, very few would make it.

Sorry folks, but that’s just the way it is.

ok, but football makes a massive profit and women’s sports are money losers. Sorry, but that’s a fact.

Covingtontigrr77: speak for yourself, I enjoy watching LSU women’s basketball.
Of course I follow baseball and enjoy it and of course we don’t want to lose $7-8 million a year so we have things to fix.

Geaux lady tigers!

OP is a dip shite.
I don’t understand how baseball puts up those numbers. If my company doesn’t operate at +90 percent profit margin, the big wigs aren’t happy. It just doesn’t seem like one of the best baseball programs in the nation cannot put up a huge profit margin.

LOL. If that is your criteria then all we would have is football and MBB.

Sorry, but the Athletic Department is not a real business and is there to use the revenue generated to support sports that can't self-generate enough money on their own. Athletics are more than just a profit/loss proposition for the University.

Got to love burning $7-8m a year on something that no one wants to watch. Despite the media narrative to the contrary no one- in enough numbers- gives a shite about. Women’s sports being forced down the throats of sports viewers is the biggest DEI program going. It’s an awful product. Here’s a deal for you: Instead of losing $7-8m a year, how about we shoot for just 1/2 that loss and see where that gets us?

I could not agree more. Women’s basketball coach should be a volunteer position. While it’s a necessary evil that is forced to exist, LSU should not spend a dime over the absolute minimum.

So all non football men’s sports are also operating at a loss?

The lack of defenders of this monstrosity fascinate me.

Seems to me there's a full house for all women's basketball home games, so I would respectfully disagree.

Yeah but we're gonna hire a private contractor to build a $100,000,000.00 new arena with private suites. We won't own it, but lease it and the suite revenue will make up for Kim's financial losses.

So your only motive is for the sport to turn a profit? GTFOH
LSU would look pretty meh athletically without all those "loser" sports.
