Its definitely not the coach or scheme but here are several examples of the defensive coaching being poor. 
I swear some of you need to learn to read what you have typed before hitting submit.
Calling it poor evaluation is a misnomer. LSU can only recruit players that are in the portal and have interest in LSU. If the best they could get is a C+ player then im not sure what you expect them to do. Its why BK is so adamant about not having to use the portal as much. Its one thing to go and grab someone for depth, its another to have to go and find 3-4 starters in the secondary.
See above. This was a depth move. Its Nuss's job but now at least he has a reason to keep himself motivated.

Depth. Behind Nuss is a RSF and incoming Freshman.

Normally NFL scouts don't make pronouncements like this other than QB quality.....or individuals playing quality.

Sorry, lost me here. There is zero accountability on D. Guys not even trying at times, but they just stay in there. That's coaching.
Every time a tackle is made (even if it's for a 9-yard gain), our players are talking shite. Now I know this happens a lot in college, but when your D is getting pounded and you suck as a defense, this shouldn't be happening constantly. Also, the scheme sucks.

Weird that when we blitzed to protect our DBs we did better on defense if it has nothing to do with scheme... even the announcers talked about the fact that the DBs played 15 yards off the ball damn near every play.
