Watched the game with an NFL scout yesterday

Here are some takes from a guy who has forgotten more about football than most of us will ever know!
-Nuss arm talent elite
- really zero complaints offensively
- it’s not house it’s not scheme.
- the secondary is horrendous in every single measurable aspect.
- defense doesn’t locate the ball.
- poor tackling, angles,recognition.
- it’s a young, slow, undisciplined, sloppy freking mess!
- lsu is doing a horrendous job of evaluating talent in the portal!
- adding a vandy qb after developing a heisman qb! Reach!
- if Kelly can retool the defense through the portal to buy us some time we will be ok.
- this is year 3 Kelly is out of excuses! This team has got to play elite defense!

usually unbiased scouts are more reasonable and rational. this sounds like a ranter to me.

Yes it is. The talent is bad, but his scheme is trash. And he doesn’t recruit.
House is one of the highest paid coordinators in the sport, that is laughable. shite.

I’m not saying he’s wrong, I don’t know Jack shite compared to a football scout, but I just cannot fathom the idea that talent is the primary reason for our suckage. This isn’t UNLV.

I see poor defensive players. My word. Angles, tackles, instinct, ballers, ball awareness, etc. We have poor defensive players.

Somehow I doubt that putting the comment about the vandy qb and the comment about nuss together.
The AJ is for depth and mild competition. They weren’t looking to go big time in the portal for a QB because they have the one they want.

This statement here destroys the credibility of every other statement made. It's a "reach" to grab a guy who has started several SEC games to be your BACKUP QB? LSU wasn't looking for an immediate starter in the portal. The starter played yesterday. They wanted a guy with some experience who would be willing to come in and likely be the backup. That's what they got.
What did your guy think? LSU was going to be able to get someone like Cam Ward, Dillion Gabriel, etc to come in to be a backup?

BK is overrated, dude will bring a consistent 9-4 or 10-3 team and that’s about it

The NFL scout's assessment partially falls flat when one analyses the production/play of Perkins. He was clearly half the player he was as a freshman. Instead of getting better and having more impact on games, he was clearly poorly utilized and impotent most of the time. That was criminal.
Name one player that was better this year than last under House's leadership. NFL scout needs to reconsider some/not all, of his assessments.
