Who cares what they think

While true, only Brennan can hear the ticking clock. The other two enter next year as a freshman, can compete for a premier starting job, and if necessary transfer with a ton of eligibility left if needed.

TJ will transfer. Max's end-season success will seem insurmountable, even though it's not.

Good situation for LSU to be in headed to Spring practice. I would be considered an old time by some in this board. I believe Max is our starter going forward. I saw Max take a huge step in the second half of the Ole Miss game. It was like a boost of confidence occurring with his decision making throwing the ball with authority and running it when the defenders turned their backs to him. He is going to be very good by the time he is ready to leave LSU.
I think we loose Brennan and Finely. Brennan can sling it so he will land in his feet, Finely appears to not be able to process things quick enough to be that difference maker in a game

What a dumb headline. Not surprising from wafb, but why the hell already stir shite up a few days after the season ends. Of course the 3rd stringer will probably leave, that’s how college football works these days especially with a qb room this loaded. No reason to write this shite

I could see Brennan as a grad transfer to a G5 school. His durability is the issue for SEC play.

Do you know that Finley has more NFL potential than the three put together. Players are paid to catch those types of balls . NFL QBs throw so hard at eight feet they can fracture your fingers .

If one of them does leave it will be finley. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

I good with Myles, Max, and Nuss TJ so far looks like another Brandon Harris
But you're likely to get Max, TJ, who is not like another Brandon Harris, and Nussmeier. It's Brennan who can't take the chance. You don't have to go negative on TJ. Everyone sees what Max did. TJ will get better and will likely be needed down the road. His main issues are consistent foot work and mechanics. At the end of next season if Nuss is better, then and only then is LSU OK if Finley leaves. They need a 3rd QB next year with eligibility left. Brennan should not be that QB because it affect Max's ability to get to the field at worst. And it won't be if Max wins an open competition,

I think they all 3 stay honestly. There is no clear cut QB1 at the moment, though Brennan is the likely winner there. Max doesn't have enough sample size to totally scare off TJ.

I would imagine all 3 will stay.
1. Brennan
2t. Johnson or Finley
3. Nuss
This should be our depth chart at QB going into the spring.

Max is 2-0 both coming against west rivals with a top ten win. Both good wins with clutch moments. True freshman with durability. Has mobility. Makes smart decisions with the ball. Not timid in the pocket.
Brennan is 1-2 as a starter. Good numbers but still losses and in both games we had chances to put it away in the second half but he couldn’t get it done. Not great in the pocket under pressure. Not mobile.
Finley is 2-3 as a starter. Has talent but is loose with the ball and makes bad decisions. Big body but not mobile either.
Seems like a no brainer here. Do what is best for LSU. Not what you think is fair. This is big boy ball and you gotta roll with who meshes with the team.
Max and Boutte are going to be a HUGE duo. We got a big opportunity here.

This makes the most sense. IMO, none of the 3 have a large lead on the other. The two freshman have very little to lose by staying. Brennan, assuming he has NFL aspirations, is risking a lot. But, he may recognize that he's not likely to make the NFL...and would rather take his chances here and now.

Y'all have lost your damn minds. If Brennan is healthy, he 100% will be starting.

It's not. You have to project forward for Max and TJ, both. We don't know what those guys will look like by next fall. They may be the same player they are now (bodes well for Brennan) or one or both may have taken a significant step forward (ends Brennan's chances).

Boutte will make plays for any QB.

You can’t possibly think we will keep 4 really good qbs on the roster
At the start of the season? No.
But it is complete conjectural bullshite to say "many wonder if all three will make it to spring ball." They all started games this past season. They all had moments of success. They all had enough flaws and inconsistency to prevent any of the 3 from being the unquestioned starter going into 2021
It's reasonable to think at least one will transfer out once the depth chart is established (that's just the nature of the position). But to question whether or not they will all "make it to spring ball" is baseless conjecture and irresponsible "journalism" (of course, that is the only type of "journalism" that currently exist)

Honestly, Max staying is the only sure bet, Cowboy. Not sure what Brennan or Finley will do.

Brennan has already been at LSU 3.5 years. He's majoring in Sports Administration, so I assume he's set to graduate in the Spring.
Not saying it's likely, but I think it is certainly a possibility that Brennan loses his spot during Spring ball and decides to transfer after graduating.
