Her 3 point shooting % is 40% which is great. The problem is her 2 point shots fall only at a 40% rate also. A PG should have at least a 2 to 1 ratio of assist to turnovers. She average 4.5 asst/game and 3 turnover/game. However, if you add in the steals she makes (1.5 per game), she does get to the 2-1 ratio by that measurement. Her free throw shooting needs improvement and she is in the high 60's%

She may not be the AA we were hoping for at PF, but she sure isn't the only problem or the biggest problem with this team. there is very little reall basketball talent on the team, and when the one that has all the real talent shoots like she doesn't know how, then this team is very ordinary.

Dumbest take I've seen.
Reese can't shoot but she's a very aggressive rebounder and usually solid at finishing at the rim. She also gets to the free throw line more than anybody in LSU history and makes them at a decent %.
Morrow is a great stretch forward that is also an aggressive rebounder but can make baskets from anywhere when she can get an open look.
Flau'jae has a great all around game, and plenty of "basketball talent".
Williams has phenomenal body control and a smooth shot. She can create her own shot and is probably the best passer on the team.
Van Lithe is the worst player in the starting 5. Maybe she's injured (foot), maybe playing PG is messing her up. Either way she's not performing up to what LSU needs and on this LSU team, she's the weak link in the starting 5.
If Smith were healthy, HVL be first off the bench with Williams and Flau'jae running point. Starting 5 would be Williams, Flau'jae, Morrow, Smith, Reese.

Flauje is the best ball handler on the team. They should let her bring the ball up the court and get the started. She is also the best driving to the basket. HVL should be at the 2.

HVL is a natural 2 shooting guard. Not quick enough at PG & never really is comfortable running the O & distributing. We don’t have a PG unless Velez grows into the job. Need a very quick penetrator & great passer. Portal!

State played their best game of their season and LSU is worn out.The thread title is unwarranted. HVL is playing the position that coach tells her to play-not her natural position. She is a catch and shoot guard and not a ball distributor.

Mulkey got mesmerized by HVL’s pigtails reminiscent of her college days. HVL will never be a Mulkey. If HVL agreed to come to LSU to be a PG then that was a bad decision by all parties. HVL is a 2 guard and should be spotting up taking 3’s

High school baller back in the day. I hated point guard you were basically asked to bring the ball up the court and set up the offense. HVL can do it but as a number 2 guard there are plays set to get you open to shoot. There are screens set up and if you practice the plays you usually shoot from the same area repetitively. I can definitely see how and why HVL is struggling at point guard. Hope they move her to the number two spot so she can start getting more into a rhythm because she cannot create her own shot off the dribble. My .02

Assuming you are capable of understanding that the word ball here is used as a colloquialism for basketball, other than the lack of capitalization, what is grammatically incorrect?
