HVL simply dribbles the ball too much. Not defensively aggressive and is a poor passer.

She is way too slow to play the PG.
She gets taken to the hole whenever they want. She can't drive the ball because she lacks the foot and dribble quickness. Her crossovers have been super slow and loopy.
Nobody bites on her fakes.
It's a tough situation bc Poa doesn't look like she can start.

3 pt FG% 35% at UL....37% at LSU
Free throw %...84% at UL...71% at LSU
Assts/Steals/TO at UL... 2.6/1.3/2.5...4.4/1.5/2.8 at LSU
Bottom line: Hailey Van Lith is playing better in 3 point FG% with close to the same number of turnovers than she did at UL and more assists and a few more steals than at UL. The worst dropoff is her FT %. But to act like she is the root of the LSU's problem is utter and complete nonsense!
Sorry for actually posting facts instead of just ridiculous fiction. Ooooorrr perhaps some of you think she was overrated at Louisville. That is your right but don't act like she has been a liability at LSU. You are LYING!

I dont see where anyone is bashing her. They are just saying she is not doing well because she is being used incorrectly. I havent seen anything saying otherwise. Plus she is an adult. College "kids" now make millions of dollars in endorsements. people need to stop with the "kids" stuff. They wanted to be professionals and well they can be treated as such and critiqued as such

No, you and other just need to get your facts straight which obviously you were too lazy to do! I wasn't and put her UL stats vs LSU stats a few posts before this one. Since she was the #1 transfer portal target by almost everyone, I guess they thought she played decent at Louisville, huh? And except for FT %, she is right at or better at LSU than at UL. Those are FACTS! Feel free to check them out. I got them off the ESPN site.

It makes a lot of sense. It's like moving a MLB to OLB and expecting the same level of play. They have totally different responsibilities and can definitely disrupt a player's game. She's a natural two and would be really good at it, if that's all she had to do. PG comes with a lot of responsibilities and shooting isn't at the top of this list!

Mulkey will figure it out. No worries. And HVL is still an amazing talent and I don’t care about your stats. The girl was #1 in the portal and lit it up and Louisville for a reason. Give her some time damn.

I agree lack of depth is showing but a surprising stat to me. Some people are saying the team is tiring out in the 2nd half. Well, Van Lith is playing 6 less minutes per game than last season at UL. Angel Reese 4 less minutes per game. Morrow 4 less minutes per game than at DePaul. Johnson is playing 3 more minutes.

We DID have a back up PG - POOLE
(early season removal from the team)
Now we have HVL trying her best to fill the need.
