Terrible shooter and not a true point guard.
Should have gone after a true point to fill out the starting 5.
Lack of depth is the other issue, we literally have no bench.

Here poor shooting is being affected by her having to play PG! She needs to play without the ball in her hands.

If we had a true point and we could rotate Flau’jae and Van Lith at the 2 to keep each fresh or ride the hot hand it’d be fine. Forcing either into a PG role just turns that player from being a good 2 that is comfortable into a bad 1.

HVL is a 2 and will never be a great PG, and there’s nothing wrong with that

Hvl is a bench player at best in the sec…just too slow and soft

Her poor shooting is because she is insecure about what she’s doing. I personally think she’s not aggressive enough. There is some stigma about her shooting too much. But teams are purposely playing off her because she’s looking to pass first always. Playing the PG position is all about creating space for others. She’s not taking what the defense gives her.

At this point let flauje run the point and Mikayla and HVL be of the off the ball guards. Mikaylah can create her own shots and HVL is a better shooter than flauje. This team will make a run come tournament time. I don’t get the panic mode

I 100% agree. She takes way too much heat and criticism. She is a good ball player. Let CKM fix all of this. The girls will be fine.
