Unmentioned key to game for us…

We cannot get behind the sticks on 2nd down. First downs have to get 4 yards to set up 2nd and manageable. Have to stay out of 2nd/3rd and long

I mean, that's pretty much an unmentioned goal of every first down for every football team, who has ever played in a football game.
Here's another unmentioned key...we need to make sure after we get those 4 yards on first down, that we don't go backwards on second down.
This one is REALLY going to blow your mind. Whenever we are 3rd and short, it is an unmentioned key that we convert at a very high rate in those spots.

My Gray Y coach told us this once. He didn’t wear shoes, had a tattoo of a shooting star, and was the only one on the team information spread sheet without a phone number. But we won two games.
