It could have gone either way.

In the end...FSU kid beat our pitcher.

His zone was tight, but he was calling it both ways. FSU took advantage of the m though and we didnt.

You are such a fricking clown

I'll give you he was consistent, but he squeezed the hell out of the outside.

It was a tight zone, The ump called it both ways FSU took more pitches, LSU swung. Its baseball.

Strike zone was pretty bad the first couple of innings but seemed to stabilize after about the third.

It didn’t seem one-sided the latter two-thirds of the game.

Still your opinion Bub.

You can go ahead and stop acting like it's a fact.

Prior to the 3 run HR that batter should've been called out.

The 3 run HR should hve never happen. 7th pitch of that at bat was strike 3

This!

He threw an absolutely perfect strike, which would have been strike 3, but became balk 3. That squeezed him into having to throw pitches that the hitter was looking for. He fouled off a ton of them, & then finally squared away on that HR ball.

But I was in RF during the game and it looked like there were some strikes called balls to extend at bats. Was that really the case?

100% Yes

I thought he was below average. Yes he extended at bats with his small strike zone. But walks and baserunning cost LSU this game.

His zone shrunk after the first inning. Did not cost us the game but it sure didn’t help Cole Henry’s confidence

Guys weren’t walking on borderline pitches. The 3 ball count pitches usually weren’t close. Hess threw 4 balls the batter didn’t even have to think about.

Does FSU have a hitting coach, or do they rely on unpaid volunteers?

Eh. Early the strike zone was open. As the game progressed it shrunk a bit. If a pitcher got a lot of innings he got a few calls his way. Honestly all things I am okay with. Earn the strike zone. Bigger issue is FSU works counts on pitchers and makes their pitch count go high. Something all schools should practice to get to the bullpen. FSU earned that one. Tigers had a great game on some areas. Josh’s Smith got big eyes on his last at bat and his walk should have been bases loaded but he swung at balls. Duplantis swung at a ball to end the game with a 2-0 count. Would have been up 3-0. Not mad at players but coaches need to teach patience at the plate.

Strike zone was inconsistent both ways and shrunk during game. Sit low behind the plate and have a great view for all home games.
FSU hitters adapted and LSU hitters did not. Big part of the final outcome of the game.
No excuse for LSU pitchers to issue 10 walks when most of them were not even close. Ump had difficulty on outside calls(many do) and gave nothing above the waist. Deal with it and adapt your pitching style. Throw strikes and don't walk 10 freaking batters. That's the difference in the game.
Three walked batters scored for FSU.

Peterson and Perez said it was a strike. They usually hold their tongue on strike zone. So...

Pretty spot on analysis. I felt he was a lot more consistent with right handed batters, but left handed batters it seamed like he called the outside based on how the catcher moved. If the catcher was still, he gave the pitcher the call. If catcher moved, he called balls.

I thought that the ump was inconsistent on the outside corner to LH batters. Early in the game, I said that he was 50-50 on that pitch, and maybe that’s fair. But as the game went on, he called most of those pitches balls. Our pitchers were staying away from their LH hitters, and they laid off. When it got to 3-2 counts, we had to pitch middle- in and they hit 2 homers. Our batters are aggressive free-swingers, so we didn’t work their pitchers nearly as much. If the ump called the second half of the game as he called the first half, we win 4-2. It wasn’t unfair, but they took advantage of it and we didn’t. My opinion.
